Day 1  Arrival in Seoul

Welcome to Seoul, the capital of South Korea. It had been the capital of the Korea Kingdom since 1394 AD. After 1948, the North Korea chose Pyongyang as capital, and Seoul is the capital of South Korea.

On the way from Incheon Airport, your tour guide will give you a brief introduction to Seoul and South Korea. If you have some questions, please feel free to ask him or her.

Day 2  Seoul City Tour
Gyeongbok Palace
Initially built in 1395 AD, the Gyeongbok Palace was the royal palace of the Korea Kingdom. The roofs of most houses of in the palace are paved with black tiles. You will know how the royalty worked and held ceremonies in the palace.
National Folk Museum
The National Folk Museum houses over 20,000 pieces of ancient relics, which were made between 1392 and 1910. You will know the history of agriculture and various industries, and ceremonies from these precious relics.
Insadong
Insadong is a cultural street, where tourists can buy traditional Korean costumes, various handicrafts, and paintings. The Korean delicacy can also be found here.
Jogyesa Temple
The Jogyesa Temple is the center of Korean traditional religion. A 26-meter high locust tree makes the temple quiet and secluded.

Day 3  Gyeongju Tour

You will take a 2-hour long train ride to Gyeongju in the morning.

Cheonma Tumuli Park
There are totally 200 huge ancient tombs in the park. 20 of them are open to tourists. The Cheonma Tomb, whose funeral objects included a saddle with patterns of flying horses, is the most renowned. Besides, the 11,526 funeral objects collected in the museum in the park show you the ancient nobles’ luxury life.
Gyeongju National Museum
Around 80,000 pieces of ancient relics of Silla Kingdom are collected in the Gyeongju National Museum. The kingdom ruled South Korea and a small part of North Korea between the 7th and 9th centuries. If you want to know more about the history of Korea, the museum is a must-visit place.
Ancient Astronomical Observatory Tower
Built in the 7th century AD, the Astronomical Observatory Tower is one of the oldest astronomical facility in the world. Ancient people also used the tower for fortune telling.
Anapji Pond
Covering an area of 5000 square meters, the Anapji Pond was the most deluxe lotus pond in Silla Kingdom. Only the royal members were allowed to admire lotus here.

Day 4  Gyeongju World Heritage
Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Temple
Built in the late 8th century, these two Buddhist relics were listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1995. The statues of Buddhas in these two sites are masterworks.

You will be transferred back to Seoul after today’s tour.

Day 5  Seoul Departure

After breakfast, your tour guide will help you board on your back flight. There are lots of interesting places in South Korea. Hope we can serve you again in near future. Best regards!
