Day 1  Beijing Arrival

Welcome to Beijing, the capital of China. Your tour guide will be waiting for you at the airport. When you meet your tour guide, he or she will accompany you to your hotel in Beijing. Your tour guide will give a brief introduction of China during the car ride to your hotel. You are welcome to ask your guide any questions about China or your trip.

Travel Tips – The rest of your arrival day is for self-arrangement. Please feel free to ask your tour guide for advice.

Day 2  Beijing Royal Relic Tour
The Forbidden City
Built in 1420 AD, the Forbidden City is the home and office premise of 24 emperors in Ming (1368-1644 AD) and Qing (1636-1912 AD) dynasties. The palaces, towers and antiques in the City allow tourists to have a general idea of royal lives.
Tian’anmen Square
The Tian’anmen is actually a gate, as well as a watch tower of the Forbidden City. On October 1st, 1949, the Chairman Mao Zedong announced the foundation of the People’s Republic of China on Tian’anmen. The Tian’anmen Square is the largest city square in the world.
Jingshan Park
Jingshan, aka Mount Jing, is a man-made mount. The then emperor built the mount to the north of the Forbidden City according to ancient fortune telling theories. Standing on the top of Jingshan, tourists can have a bird view of the Forbidden City.
Summer Palace
Initially built in 1750 AD and rebuilt in 1888, the Summer Palace is a summer resort for the royal families of Qing dynasty. The gardens, rockeries, lakes, pavilions and corridors in the Palace are the same as the ancient gardens in South Yangtze River area.

Day 3  Mutianyu Great Wall and Olympic Legacy
Mutianyu Great Wall
Stretching 5400 meters on a hill in the Huairou District of Beijing, the Mutianyu Great Wall is the longest Great Wall section in China. The bricks and watch towers on the Mutianyu Great Wall are preserved very well.
Ming Tombs
Located at the foot of the Tianlu Mountain, 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty are sleeping in the Ming Tombs. Thousands of funeral objects are collected in the museum of the Ming Tombs. The statues on the Sacred Way in the Ming Tombs are also highlights.
Bird’s Nest and Water Cube
Built for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the Bird’s Nest and its neighbor, Water Cube are actually National Stadium and National Swimming Center of China. They are called Bird’s Nest and Water Cube because they look like these two things in appearance. If you are an Olympic fan, these two Olympic legacies are must-go places.

Day 4  Half-Day Beijing Tour
Temple of Heaven
The Temple of Heaven was built to offer sacrifices to the heaven. Ancient Chinese people believe emperors are the sons of heaven, so it is important to be respectful to the heaven. There are lots of well-preserved halls in the area of the Temple of Heaven.
Hutongs
Hutong is the name of thousands of small lanes in Beijing. In ancient times, the rich people’s houses were built on main streets. Common people could only live in Hutongs. Nowadays, Hutongs are the best places to learn about the most authentic and traditional folk culture of Beijing. Your tour guide will find the most historical Hutongs for you.

You will be transferred to the Beijing West Station to catch your high-speed train to Xian North Station. It takes around 5 hours for the train trip.

Day 5  Xian Terracotta Army Tour
Terracotta Army
Lots of international tourists may not know Xian, but most of them know the Terracotta Army. It is amazing to see this underground army finally unearthed over 2000 years since they were made. These terracotta soldiers, horses and weapons are a reflection of the power of their owner - Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the feudal times in the history of China.
Ancient City Wall
People in Xian began to construct city wall 1500 years ago, however, most city wall sections, which still exist nowadays, have a history of around 700 years. The ancient city wall is 12 meters high and the top of the city wall 12 meters across. Tourist can admire the city view of Xian while taking a stroll or cycling on the city wall.
Muslim Quarter
The Muslim Quarter consists of several streets, where houses around 100,000 Muslims. Islamic handicrafts and street foods make the Muslim Quarter a must-visit place for tourists to Xian.

Day 6  Xian Museum Tour
Big Wild Goose Pagoda 
Initially built in 652 AD, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda was listed as a world heritage in 2014. It is meaningful to learn about the Buddhism and admire the ancient relics collected in the temple, where the pagoda is located in.
Hanfu
Hanfu is a kind of traditional Chinese costume. Hanfu was not so popular until 2010s. More and more young people like to wear Hanfu now. They believe Hanfu makes them feel proud of being a Chinese. Many our customers like to wear Hanfu to take photos.
Shaanxi History Museum
As one of the most historical provinces of China, there are countless priceless ancient relics under the land of Shaanxi. The Shaanxi History Museum houses nearly 1.8 million pieces of antique treasures, including vessels, weapons, statues, books, agricultural tools, stone carvings and jewelry.

Your tour guide and driver will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Shanghai, which takes around 2 hours.

Day 7  Shanghai City Day Tour
Shanghai Museum
Current Shanghai Museum was built in 1996. Around 1 million antiques all around China are collected in the Museum, including vessels, books, paintings, coins, jades, handicrafts, calligraphy works and potteries. Your insightful tour guide will help you admire these antiques.
Yuyuan Garden
Covering an area of 20000 square meters, the Yuyuan Garden is one of the most beautiful ancient gardens in China. The rockeries, plants, pavilions and stone carvings and bridges are all the crystallization of ancient Shanghai people’s wisdom.
Shanghai World Financial Center
With a height of 492 meters, the Shanghai World Financial Center is one of the most-visited skyscrapers in Shanghai. There are 3 glass observation lanes on the observation deck located at the 100th floor of the center.
Nanjing Road Walking Street
It is a street for shopping. Feel free to let your tour guide know if you want to buy something. If you do not want to buy anything, it is still a good experience to soak up the prosperous atmosphere on the street.
The Bund
Around 150 years ago, when international companies landed on Shanghai, they decided to set up their branches on the Bund of Shanghai. Nowadays, the 28 historical buildings in western style are the most appealing highlights on the Bund for international tourists.

Travel Tips - A night cruise on the Huangpu River is strongly recommended, because all the skyscrapers beside the Huangpu River will be lit up at night.

Day 8  Former French Concession
Former French Concession
If you do not have an early flight, the Former French Concession is a good half-day tour destination. The Great Britain, United States and France set up their concession in Shanghai during the 1840s, among which the French Concession is the best preserved. Although there have been no concessions anymore since 1943, the houses and private gardens in Former French Concession still exist.

The quotation will include experienced English-speaking (or your preferred languages) tour guides, entrance fee to the tourist attractions, accommodation, city transfers with private car and driver, domestic flights or trains, and insurance. The quotation varies in different tourist seasons.

Cancellation Policy

Once the deposit is paid, your trip is confirmed. If you need to change or cancel your itinerary, please contact your travel consultant by email, phone, instant messenger, etc. There will be a charge for Cancellation or modification. The policy is as follows:

1. Notice of trip cancellation due to personal reasons before the trip starts
Cancellation 30 days or more before the trip starts, 10% penalty of the deposit.
Cancellation 29-15 days before the trip starts, 20% penalty of the deposit.
Cancellation 14-7 days before the trip starts, 30% penalty of the deposit.
Cancellation 6-2 days before the trip starts, 50% penalty of the deposit.
Cancellation within 48 hours prior to the trip starts, no refund of your deposit.

2. Trip cancellation due to irresistible factors before the trip starts

If you have to cancel the itinerary due to irresistible reasons such as traffic, weather, politics, etc., the deposit will be fully refunded by the company (for loss related to air ticket/train ticket, please take reference of the first item).
