I'm a Singaporean traveller who booked a private solo tour. I chanced upon AOT after I googled and decided to travel last min. My planner from AOT named Rita was very patient towards all my request and changes, she is knowledgeable and provided excellent advice for my 8 days trip arrangement from Shanghai, Zhangjiajie N Chongqing. Although there were very minor hiccups just like any overseas holiday, it was still a well planned trip.

I would like thank all my tour guides and drivers (师父) for looking after me so well. Special mention to Zhangjiajie Tour Guide named Ms Rita Wang, she looks after her client with her sincerest heart into the smallest details such as eating habits and my lifestyle. (Example: Turning A/C on knowing we Singaporeans can't live without A/C in car & also I don't even have to look at menu to order food becos she knows what I want to eat) Also thank you 杨师父 who tagged team with Rita, he is a very good skilled safe driver and knows how look after me during long haul journey drive inter cities.

I would strongly reccomended anyone who wants to travel to look for Rita or her colleagues from Asia Odyssey Travel.

Lastly, thank you to all whom I've crossed path during my trip. I'm grateful to all people in China for the warm hospitality. 感恩大家的招待和爱。

I left my heart in Zhangjiajie

As a solo female traveller, I found this to be the perfect answer to wanting to explore parts of the world I felt insecure about. Intrepid was great every step of the way, our guide Bao was an absolute legend and I loved the dynamics of the group - made some great new friends!

If you are looking for a quick trip to this country definitely consider this. You get to experience the chaos of Hanoi, the peacefulness of Halong Bay, Hue and Hoi An and the metropolitan city of Ho Chi Ming.

The person in charge [ in Asia Odyssey Travel] was Victor.. He handled me from the start.. arranged the Bhutan Visa .. put the trip Schedule.. and most importantly.. chose the wonderful and so professional local guide (Pema).. PEMA by him self need a "Story"!! ... Very special man .. very informative, very keen in time and so kind ..(one of best tour guides I ever met ) .. The driver (name Pema .. so it's "DOUBLE PEMA" ) was excellent , nice and safe driver..

We booked a customised 11-day 3 cities tour with Vicky in April 2024. Vicky's level and professionalism, patience, and understanding are highly appreciated as she listened to our requirements and planned a tour that exceeded our expectations and provided us with a lasting memory of our first China tour. She constantly stayed in touch throughout our tour to ensure that all 5 of us are well taken care of! Service par excellence indeed! Our local guide, Andy, was extremely helpful, informative and accommodating to some of our changing needs during the entire tour and is always available to help with the translation to English as required. Andy is extremely patient and certainly makes our entirely journey a pleasant and memorable one. Even our driver for the entire journey must be commended for his fantastic service and driving skills that makes all of us feel very safe on the highways of Beijing, Chengde and Tianjin.

The trip to Bhutan was amazing.
Beautiful views, our tour guide Karma is excellent with
knowledge. He was willing to go extra miles to fulfill our needs.
For example, we asked for local food. He called different local restaurants to arrange the best local food he could find. We are very pleased.

We had a wonderful 9-day here in Tibet all because of our lovely tour guide and new friend, Norbu. During the entire trip, Norbu showed us so much about this beautiful land of Tibet, from natural landscape, to arts and culture, to the delicious food. Norbu was very kind to always check in with my mom and aunt to ensure they are comfortable with the high elevation. It was very considerate of Norbu to bring extra handheld oxygen into Potala Palace and Namtso for us. He was also very generous to bring us Lucky Flags to put on top of La Ghen La and Karuola glaciers. We have been so lucky to have met Norbu and have his company during our trip. Thank you Norbu!

We recommend this experience to anyone who would like to explore Tibet. We visited Lhasa, Nyingchi, Basongcuo, Namtso, Shigatse, and Damxung.

This was a 14 years in the making bucket list trip to Tibet. I was finally able to do it this year from April 2nd through the 8th. I will say with certainty that if you are going on a SOLO Trip, Asia Odessy is the Company to book with. I am a solo traveler and they made planning and deciding for me very easy. Asia Odessy will take care of you Tibet Permit, Train ticket reservation if needed and explain to you the whole package in details. If you plan on it, pay the deposit as soon as possible as they are very flexible for any changes that you might have. My Trip Consultant was Mandy and she understood the “anxiety” that comes with solo traveler so she kept me common from beginning to end of my trip on what’s up. She knew when to check on me along the way, when to remind me (i.e. don’t shower on first night in Lhasa to allow your body acclimation, food that might help, milk tea that might help, etc) cause high altitude sickness is Real! My trip to Tibet would have not been possible without the great staff at Asia Odessy including Mandy who was like a Guardian Angel for me, our local Tour Guide “Tashi D” who kept us all posted via WeChat and our Tour Bus driver who made me feel that “Dad is driving and will be safe”. I am thankful to all of them for helping me accomplished a spiritual journey to Tibet and Mt Everest. Love to all the staff at Asia Odessy. Thank you for doing such a great job and making me feel like family!

For a long time, Tibet has been at the top of my bucket list of places to visit in China. As I have planned to travel to Shanghai for some business, I took the opportunity to extend my stay and plan for a trip to Tibet. My plan was to travel overland from Shanghai to Tibet and fly out. I came across Asia Odyssey from a Chinese online forum and got in touch with them. They are patient and helpful enough to assist me with my travel requirements in and out of Tibet. On top of that, the entire trip are well planned and well executed. All the necessary documents like Tibet entry permit and tickets are settled promptly for me. Furthermore, the tour guide assigned to my group was caring, friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Granted, some food provided may need some improvements, particularly in EBC stay but all in all it was an unforgettable experience and definitely a dream come true for me.
