Today, spend a full day uncovering Beijing’s storied past through its world-famous landmarks, epic imperial palaces, and serene royal gardens.

After breakfast, your guide will meet you to explore Tian’anmen Square, the world’s largest public square and a powerful symbol of China. Witness the historic site that has hosted the nation’s most significant events and capture iconic photos of the famous Tian’anmen Gate.

Then, across square and visit the Forbidden City, the world’s largest palace complex and former home to 24 emperors. Navigate its central axis to admire Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture and imperial treasures. Afterward, ascend Jingshan Park for a breathtaking panorama of the palace’s golden roofs against the modern Beijing skyline. This afternoon, visit the Summer Palace, the "Museum of Royal Gardens" and former imperial retreat. This morning, travel approximately 73km northwest of Beijing (about a 1.5–2 hour drive) to reach the Great Wall at Mutianyu.

With over 2,000 years of history, the Great Wall is an ancient masterpiece. The Mutianyu section is the longest fully-restored stretch, famous for its 23 Ming-era watchtowers and fewer crowds. Ride the cable car to the 14th tower to begin your hike through lush pine forests and majestic scenery. For the ultimate challenge, climb to the 20th watchtower to capture stunning views and fulfill your Great Wall dream. Don't forget to take plenty of photos of this breathtaking landscape!

Following your once-in-a-lifetime Great Wall experience, return to downtown Beijing to capture photos of the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube. These iconic venues from the 2008 and 2022 Olympics remain stunning modern landmarks. Afterward, transfer back to your hotel for a well-deserved rest.

Following breakfast, enjoy some leisure time before your guide transfers you to the station for your high-speed train to Xi'an (about 4.5–5.5 hours). Welcome to the ancient capital of 13 Chinese dynasties! Upon arrival, our local team will greet you at the exit and escort you to your hotel.

After breakfast, your guide will drive you about 40km to the Terracotta Army Museum, one of the world's greatest archaeological discoveries. Built to protect Emperor Qin Shihuang in the afterlife, this site features nearly 8,000 life-sized figures. Marvel at the largest pit, where thousands of silent soldiers and horses stand in formation, showcasing incredible ancient artistry. Then, explore the second pit to see 1,300 specialized figures, including kneeling archers and chariots.

After lunch, return to the city center to explore the Ancient City Wall, one of China’s oldest and best-preserved military fortifications. Stroll along this massive defensive structure to admire its historic watchtowers and moat. Late this afternoon, explore the bustling Muslim Quarter, a vibrant cultural hub and a true paradise for street food. Wander through the lively stalls to experience local life at its most authentic and sample an incredible array of traditional Xi’an snacks.

This morning, discover the iconic Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. Located within the Da Ci’en Temple, this Tang-style landmark is a masterpiece of Buddhist architecture and a symbol of Xi’an’s spiritual heritage.

Optional Hanfu Experience: Explore pagoda while participating in a Hanfu costume experience. This traditional attire has been central to Han culture for millennia. After selecting a favorite ensemble, you will have the opportunity to walk through the pagoda complex.

After the tour, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Guilin (about 2.5 hours). Upon landing, your guide will greet you at the arrival exit and escort you to your downtown hotel. Once you have checked in, the evening is yours to enjoy. We suggest a relaxing walk along Binjiang Road or a taste of the city’s iconic rice noodles to start your Guilin adventure.
