Day 1  Arrival in Xining

You guide will meet you at the Xining airport or train station, and then visit the Ta'er Temple with you.

Ta'er Temple
The Ta'er Temple is one of the six major monasteries of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism in China and the birthplace of the second largest master of the Buddhism, Tsongkhapa. The mural, cloth Buddhas and butter scriptures are three must-see attractions in Ta’er Temple.

Day 2  Qinghai Lake
Qinghai Lake
Qinghai Lake is the largest inland lake in China. This crystal blue lake and the nearby grasslands, snow-capped mountains and spectacular desert make this area a popular tourist destination. The lake is also a paradise for bird watching.
Erlangjian Scenic Spot
Erlangjian Scenic Spot features its beach and grassland views, and animals. There are view terraces at perfect positions for tourist to admire both sceneries and animals.

Day 3  Wutun Monastery and Thangka

You will drive to Tongren County today.

Wutun Monastery
Initially built in 1385 AD, there are many Buddhist relics in the Wutun Monastery, including frescos, handicrafts, and statues.

You will visit a local family to see how to make Thangkas, a kind of Tibetan traditional painting, after the sightseeing in the Wutun Monastery.

Day 4  Celebrate Shaman Festival
Shaman Festival
The Shaman Festival is most important festival of Shamanism, a type of religions developed from a kind of vocation. Its followers believe a Shaman master can talk to the God. You can see the Shaman Dance during the celebration of the festival, which is usually held in July.

Day 5  Religion Tour
Rongwo Monastery
The statues of Buddha are the highlights in the monastery, including Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism and Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelug school of Tibet Buddhism.
Dongguan Grand Mosque
The Dongguan Grand Mosque, a majestic building that blends the styles of China, Tibet and Islam, is the largest mosque in Qinghai Province. As one of the largest mosques in northwest China, Dongguan Grand Mosque attracts numerous believers.
