Day 1  Xian Arrival

Welcome to Xian, the capital of Shaanxi Province, was the also the capital of 16 ancient Chinese dynasties. Xian is replete with priceless relics, among which the Terracotta Army is the most renowned. Our history-savvy tour guides will help you learn about the most authentic history of Xian

Hanyang Tomb
Hanyang Tomb is the tomb of an emperor in and his empress of Han dynasties (202 BC – 220 AD). Frugality was a principle at that time, so there are not too many luxury funeral objects in the tomb. Most exhibitions are placed in the pits where they were unearthed.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda
Standing 64 meters above the horizon, the 7-storey Big Wild Goose Pagoda was one of the highest buildings in ancient Xian. Thousands of Buddhist relics are collected in the pagoda. Its most priceless collections are gold and silver statues of Buddhas.

Ancient City Wall
The City Wall of Xian was initially built 1500 years ago, however most parts we can visit today only have a history over around 700 years. Most tourists like to take a stroll of cycle on the ancient city wall while admiring the city view of Xian.
Muslim Quarter
The most authentic Xian local foods can be found in the Muslim Quarter. Roasted beef or mutton, Chinese hamburgers, fruit juices and steamed buffs, almost everybody’s hands are occupied by foods. You can eat while walking or in small restaurants.
Great Mosque
Initially built in 742 AD, the Great Mosque in Xian is a good place to see how Islamic culture is developing in Xian. The tablet inscriptions in the mosque tell tourists why the mosque was built. The houses in the mosque are very beautiful.

Han Great Wall Ruins
Most Great Wall sections built in the Han dynasty (202 BC–220 AD) has collapsed due to the endless wars or erosion. However, some Han Great Wall sections in Dunhuang are still 3 meters high and 1 meter across.
Yangguan Pass
Situated near the Yumenguan Pass, the Yangguan Pass was also an important site on the ancient Silk Road. Thousands of bronze arrows, coins, potteries and stone mills were unearthed near the Yang Pass. There are lots of ancient watching towers on the Yangguan Pass.
Yadan National Geology Park
The Yadan National Geology Park consists of red gravels, rocks and soils. Lots of rocks look queer due to the erosion. Some soil terraces, with a height of over 20 meters, are the best place to shoot the breath-taking sceneries.
