Kuda Villingili Resort Maldives, opened in June 2021, marks the debut of THE CHEDI brand by GHM (General Hotel Management Ltd.) in the Maldives. Situated in the North Malé Atoll, the resort is conveniently accessible via a quick 30-minute speedboat ride from Velana International Airport (MLE).
The resort is uniquely designed, spanning four islands - a main island and three satellite islands, with two of the satellites interconnected by jetties, forming a natural archipelago reminiscent of a spectacular seaside city. This layout, combined with the surrounding lagoon, makes for stunning photographic opportunities and is close to one of the world's top surfing spots. The best time to visit the island for surfing is between May and October.
The architectural design is a collaboration between Mr. Sape from GX Associates Maldives and Mr. Garth Kempter from URBNarc Singapore, focusing on harmony with nature. The resort offers 95 spacious villas, each designed to maximize views of the pristine ocean, allowing the natural sound of the sea to enhance the sensory experience.
