With a Beijing tourist map, you'll see these spots are nicely spread out but all accessible by subway, car, or tour. Tip: base yourself near a subway station and plan by area to avoid bouncing all over the city.

Beijing Airports Map - 2 Airports and Travel

Beijing has two major international airports: the closer and older PEK and the further and newer PKX. Find the two airports on the following Beijing airports map.

Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) is located in northeast Beijing, approximately 32 kilometers (20 miles) from the city center (Tiananmen Square).

Airport Express Train is fast and easy. It connects to Dongzhimen Station on Subway Line 2, Line 13, Beixinqiao Station on Subway Line 5. Taxi is also convenient. It takes 40–60 minutes, around ¥100–¥150 depending on traffic. You can also find Airport Shuttle Buses outside Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) is about 46 km (29 miles) south of Tiananmen Square. The Daxing Airport Express train (on B1 floor) is fast. It takes you to Caoqiao Station on Subway Line 10 in about 20–30 minutes.

You can also take a high-speed train (on B1 floor) from the airport. It connects to Beijing West Station and other cities nearby. Taxis take around 60–90 minutes, depending on traffic. The fare is usually ¥150–¥200. Airport shuttle buses are also available. They run to downtown and several main stations.

Beijing Railway Station Map - Main Stations and Travel

Beijing has several major railway stations. Each one serves different train lines and cities. Knowing which station to use can save you time.

Beijing Railway Station is near the city center in Dongcheng District, close to the eastern end of Chang’an Avenue. It mainly runs regular-speed trains to cities like Shanghai and Harbin. You can get there easily by Subway Line 2.

Beijing West Railway Station is in Fengtai District, along the West 3rd Ring Road. It’s a big high-speed train hub. Trains from here go to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Changsha, and more. You can reach it by Subway Line 7 or Line 9.

Beijing South Railway Station is also in Fengtai. It’s the busiest high-speed rail station in the city. It serves trains to Shanghai, Tianjin, Hangzhou, and other eastern cities. Use Subway Line 4 or Line 14 to get there.

Beijing North Railway Station is near Xizhimen in Xicheng District. It has some intercity and tourist trains, including ones to the Badaling Great Wall. You can get there via Subway Line 2, Line 4, or Line 13.

In Chaoyang District, there are two stations. Beijing East Railway Station is small and serves nearby cities. It’s near Dawanglu Station on Subway Line 1, but you need to walk a bit.

Beijing Chaoyang Railway Station is new and large. It mainly runs high-speed trains to Harbin, Shenyang, and other cities in northeast China. Closest subway stations are on Line 6 and Line 14, but a short taxi or bus ride is still needed.

Before your trip, check your ticket carefully to make sure you go to the right station. Some stations are far apart, and getting to the wrong one can cause big delays.
