Day 1 Xian Arrival | Airport Pick-up and Hotel Check-in

Arrive in Xian, airport pick-up, transfer to your hotel and check-in.

Nihao! Welcome to Xian, the capital of 13 ancient China dynasties! Upon your arrival at the airport/train station in Xian, the tour guide and driver will meet and greet you at the exit, and then escort you to the well-selected hotel in Xian. The rest of the day is free on your own to explore by yourselves around your hotel.

Arrival Ideas:

Xian, located in central northern China, is well connected by air and high-speed rail. Xian Xianyang International Airport is 40km northwest of the Xian city center and travelers can go to Xian by air from Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Lhasa, Chengdu, Kunming, Wuhan, Chongqing, etc. Many other international and domestic airlines have been operating the service in Xian. Also, travelers can take the high speed train to Xian from Beijing (4-5 hours), Chengdu (4 hours), Shanghai (6-7 hours), Lanzhou (2.5-3.5 hours), Zhengzhou (2-3 hours), Chongqing (5-6 hours), etc.

Day 2 Xian City Tour | Terracotta Warriors, Ancient Wall, Muslim Quarter

After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. Drive about 40km (about 1 hour) to uncover one of the greatest archaeological discoveries in the world - the Terracotta Army Museum, which was built by the first emperor of China - Qin Shihuang to protect him in his afterlife. There are about 8,000 vivid life-size Terracotta Warriors found so far. First, pay a visit to the largest and most imposing pit which is believed to contain over 6,000 terracotta figures of soldiers and horses. You will be amazed by the subterranean life-size army of thousands silently standing and guarding the emperor and also be awed by the fabulous artistic skills of ancient Chinese artisans. Next, move to another pit where you can feast your eyes with around 1300 warriors and horses. You can get to examine the ancient army array by visiting the kneeling and standing archers, the chariot war array and numerous troopers holding weapons, etc.

After lunch, drive back to downtown to visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Built between 707-709 AD, this pagoda stands 45 meters high and it is a delicate and valuable Buddhist architectural heritage of 15 storeys. Here, you can know Buddhist scriptures brought from India and how it was integrated with the culture of Han nationality. Later, head to the Ancient City Wall (also known as the Fortification of Xian). The city wall is a kind of defensive structure in Ancient Times and represents one of the oldest, largest, and best-preserved Chinese city walls. Spend some time leisurely walking on the wall and enjoy its inner and outer walls, watchtowers, and moat, and have panoramic views of modern Xian.

Late in the afternoon, go to explore the vivid local life when you go to wander happily around the bustling and lively Muslim Quarter. It is a paradise mixed with different local snacks and Muslim culture.

Day 3 Xian Departure | Shaanxi History Museum and Airport See-off

Visit Shaanxi History Museum first and transfer to the airport for departure. Service ends. (B)

Regarded as “the Pearl of ancient dynasties and house of Chinese treasures”, it has collections of 130,000 historical artifacts, showing visitors a miniature overview of thousand years of Chinese history and the splendid ancient cultures of old times. Enjoy the educational visit while exploring historical relics ranging from bronze ware from the Western Zhou Dynasty, and terracotta figures, to gold and silverware and murals discovered in Tang tombs.

Now, it is time to end your 3-day Xian trip. You will be escorted to the airport/train station for your flight or high speed train to your next destination.

In a group tour, you will stay in well-selected 3 star hotels at good location in each destination. All the hotels we chose (except for basic accommodation condition when travel to Mount Everest) have windows, air-conditioners, hot water, showers, wifi... to ensure you comfortable sleep. If you want to upgrade your hotels to 4-star or 5 star, please contact your personal travel consultants for detailed quotation.

You will share a standard double room with your partner. If you travel in family of two, it will be perfect to live in the same room. If you want to have your own room, you need to pay the single room supplement.

How do I book a China group tour?

Transportation

In a group tour, it means you will transfer to the tourist attractions in one city by coach. The maximum group size will be 12 people. It will be a small group size traveling at comfortable pace. The coach we selected is spacious and comfortable. As for traveling between two destinations, we use domestic flights (economy seat) or high speed trains (second class seat, usually less than 6 hours). The local guides and drivers will pick you up at the airport/train stations, and escort you to the hotel.

Meals

“B” stands for breakfast. You will have it at your hotel in the morning.

“L” stands for lunch. The restaurants we will arrange for you are all designated tourist restaurants approved by local tourist administration bureau. All are in good sanitary conditions. Lunches are usually included if you have a full day tour in one destination. Your guide will assist you with ordering the dishes. If you will travel from one city to another, lunches are excluded and you can ask the guide for some suggestions about where and what to eat.

“D” means dinner. All dinners are excluded in the itinerary. You have the chance to taste some authentic Chinese food and local snacks.

Nice Tour in China with Small Group

Very good experience since 1st contact with agency, supported with great attention and helpful response by Rex until the last tour in Shanghai. All the city tours were conducted by well informed guides with fluent english.
In Beijing guided by Maggie Pan manage all tours with smart way and great attention. Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Heaven Temple, Summer Palace and Olympics games places. In Xi’an guided by Timo with great explanation and flexibility. Visited Muslim, Terracotta, Pagoda and Ancient Wall.
In Guilin and Yangshuo guided by Chanel with very friendly and kindly way. Visitng Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunck Hill and Li River Cruise.
In Shanghai guided by Qián with great attention and explanation and giving us time for shopping. Hotels selected were very good and confortable with delicious breakfast. Holiday Inn Express and Lisa’s Hotel (in Yangshuo).
Restaurants were local style with reasonable cost.
As the price focus is in low cost travel pack with nices places to visit, consider also to wakeup early for fligths and trains.
