I highly recommend this 6-day Beijing and Shanghai group tour! It’s the perfect short trip to see China’s top highlights like the Great Wall and the Bund.

The price was fantastic for the value we received, with excellent guides and no forced shopping. A wonderful, budget-friendly experience!

I recently finished the 8-day Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai small group tour with Asia Odyssey Travel, and it was absolutely fantastic! Traveling with just 12 people made the experience intimate and fun.

Our English-speaking guides were incredibly knowledgeable, bringing historical sites like the Terracotta Warriors and the Forbidden City to life. I truly appreciated their strict "no shopping stops" policy, which gave us much more time to explore.

The high-speed train transfers were seamless, and the hotels were very comfortable. A perfect, hassle-free trip! Highly recommended!

Our 10-day China tour through Beijing, Xian, Guilin, and Shanghai was absolutely incredible! Traveling in a small group made everything seamless. The guides were highly knowledgeable, and I really appreciated the "no shopping stops" policy.

From hiking the Mutianyu Great Wall to the stunning Li River cruise and Shanghai's modern skyline, every moment was perfectly planned. Highly recommend Asia Odyssey Travel!

Booking through Asia Odyssey Travel made everything so easy! The entire trip on the Century Voyage was seamless and stress-free. The all-inclusive pricing was a huge plus—no surprise charges, just pure relaxation. The ship itself is stunning, with luxurious interiors and spacious cabins that felt like a high-end hotel room. The staff was super friendly and spoke great English, which made everything more comfortable.

We had a wonderful time on the Century Paragon. It is a beautiful ship, and well worth spending the extra for this modern ship.The cabins have plenty of room, a balcony and a spacious bathroom.The only language we speak is English, but everyone on board tried very hard to make sure we were well looked after, and even though we did not understand a lot of the general announcements, they were all explained to us individually in English. We were kept well informed. The daily tours were all led by a tour guide who spoke English for us. We had a fun time during the activities onboard. The cruise director Leo, was a brilliant host and entertainer.

As part of our tour was a 5 day, 4 night cruise on Century Paragon sailing on the Yangtze River. We sailed from Yichang to Chongqing. Some of the tours were inclusive and some were optional and an additional cost.
The tour to the Three Gorges Dam site was well worth the visit and this was an included tour. The Dining arrangements are either in the main dining room or alternatively you can choose VIP dining which is smaller and much more personal, but you pay extra for the privilege, but in our opinion worth it.
 
Cruising through the Gorges was amazing and we were especially lucky in that we had good weather. There are different grades of rooms and even if you don't go for a higher room when booking there are quite often options to upgrade when onboard. We upgraded from a Junior Suite to an Executive Suite which provided a very spacious room. All the staff were excellent, especially Wily and Any in the VIP restaurant. A lot of the entertainment was provided by the staff and they did an excellent job in entertaining us all. One thing to note is that on arrival into Chongqing the distance from the boat to taxis, buses etc., is quite long and involves quite a few steps, which is not good if you have heavy bags but there are men there who will carry cases for you, but you need to pay.

We had a wonderful time on the Century Victory, and I have to say, the organization was spot on. We booked our trip through Asia Odyssey Travel, and everything was arranged perfectly. They gave us all the details about the itinerary, boarding, and what to expect. The boarding process in Yichang was smooth and stress-free. The staff were extremely helpful, and their English was clear, so we didn’t have any issues understanding the schedules or any questions we had. It made the whole journey feel very seamless, which was a relief for our first time traveling in China.

"We had a fantastic time on the Century Oasis, especially considering we were traveling with young kids. The ship is brand new, so it feels fresh and comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the onboard activities, and the crew was super friendly and attentive. Their English was great, making it easy for us to communicate. The best part for us was the child-friendly atmosphere—the staff went out of their way to keep the kids entertained.

The cruise operates from Yichang to Chongqing (Upstream) over 4 nights / 5 days and from Chongqing to Yichang (Downstream) over 3 nights / 4 days. I recommend the upstream trip, being more leisurely. We took the Yangtze Gold 8, a reasonably well-appointed new 4-star ship. The cruise-staff is very welcoming and eager, comprising of pretty Chinese girls and young men. The cabins and bathrooms are spacious by naval standards. An optional excursion to the Ship Lift is an absolute must. TTGD is the real hero of the whole cruise. Besides this man-made monstrosity, the rest of the cruise is all about taking in the beautiful scenery the Yangtze traverses. The food is a good spread unless you are a vegetarian and can stomach broccoli, carrots and tofu, all boiled and watery. Carry ear-defenders.
