Radisson Blu Resort Maldives opened in 2020, marking Radisson Hotel Group's first luxury hotel in the Maldives. The resort is situated on the southern part of Maldives' South Ari Atoll, on Huruelhi island, which is a Marine Protected Area. It offers numerous dive sites and features year-round sightings of whale sharks, dolphins, and seasonal manta rays. The resort is located 105 kilometers from Velana International Airport and is accessible via a 30-minute seaplane journey or a 30-minute domestic flight to Maamigili Airport, followed by a 15-minute speedboat ride.
Radisson Blu Resort Maldives consists of 128 standalone villas, including 105 Overwater Villas and 23 Beach Villas, all equipped with private pools. A distinctive feature of the resort is the unique heart-shaped arrangement of the overwater villas around the main island. The expansive villas range from 220 sqm and are available in one, two, and three-bedroom configurations, catering to various guest needs. Across from the main island is Crusoe’s Island, an adults-only area featuring an overwater spa, a yoga pavilion, and a Robinson Crusoe-inspired pool bar.
The resort also offers a wide array of dining options with 3 restaurants, 3 bars, and an experiential wine cellar. Additional facilities include a children's club, a fitness center, and Cleo’s overwater event hall, which boasts a 360-degree view of the Indian Ocean and is ideal for weddings, meetings, and special events. The onsite PADI-certified Dive Centre, staffed with local instructors, offers guided dives at the best local spots. Guests can swim with oceanic giants like whale sharks, manta rays, reef sharks, and sea turtles, surrounded by tropical fish and colorful coral. Closer to shore, the resort’s turquoise lagoon is perfect for snorkeling.
