Asia Odyssey Travel Expert Kyle

My trip to Tibet was quite amazing. About half a year in advance I already wrote an Email to Asia Odyssey, showing interest in a Tibet trip. Soon afterwards, I was contacted by a personal travel consultant Kyle Li. Kyle took care of everything and worked out the perfect trip for me. He organised all the permits I needed to visit Tibet and the many beautiful sights there. When I couldn't find any more train tickets from Xining, Qinghai, to Lhasa, Tibet, he was able to get me a ticket in no time at all. Keep in mind, this was during the chinese summer holidays, when millions, if not tens of millions of people are on the move.
Everything in Tibet was also taken care of. We had a great tour guide there, called Lobsang. Lobsang was with us all the way through the end. He could tell us many amazing things about Tibet and about the sights ww visited. It was also really nice, hanging out with the other members of the tour group.
I don't think I'll ever forget my night at the Everest Base Camp, which has been one of, if not the most amazing experience of my life. Remember though, that there is no guarantee that you will see Everest, since the view from the Base Camp is highly dependent on the weather. We got lucky though.

Singapore’s efficiency blew my mind. Would love to swing again! The courses, Orchid and Sentosa Serapong, were fantastic, world-class. Plus, the sightseeing was a great change of pace. Chinatown, Little India, Kampong Glam – a real taste of Singapore's culture. My wife love the shops in the airport best. Highly recommend it to any golfer looking for more than just a round.

Enjoyed cruise on this ship. Excellent crew were friendly and helpful. Cabin was good and bed soft. Plenty of English speaking crewmen.
We upgraded to VIP package which at $300 AUD was good value as included drinks with lunch and dinner in a smaller room. Some friends who used main buffet complained about the food and service.
Shore excursions were good as was onboard entertainment.
I can understand the negative reviews as this is a 100% Chinese experience and should not be compared to an expensive ritzy European river cruise.

Overall, I had an amazing time aboard the Yangtze Gold 7 River Cruise. The rooms were great, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the on-shore excursions were worth the extra monies paid and the local guides made the trips very informative, there was a good range of food available everyday and the onboard entertainment was a great way to experience a taste of their customs and way of life. I went on the tour to take photos and was not disappointed. I was lucky enough to have Melody on our boat. Her English and understanding of English made it a breeze to check-in to the boat and ask any questions. Her knowledge of the area enhanced the visit and anything that needed attention was efficiently handled without any fuss by Melody.

We really enjoyed the cruise. The rooms were very comfortable, the food was excellent and the crew very friendly and helpful! Although we were the only west people they translated everything in English. We had a great time!

I booked a 4D/3N Yangtze cruise - 10-13Mar 2024 on Victoria Katrina from Chongqing to Yichang through Kyle Li who is from Asia Odyssey Travel. We had the pleasure of booking our Bhutan adventure with Asia odyssey travel and it was an experience we’ll never forget. It all started with Kyle, who promptly responded to our inquiry for a quotation to Bhutan. Despite our last minute request and the urgency of our travel dates, Kyle was quick to provide us with the necessary details. However, due to a hiccup during the payment process through WISE, it took about 15 days for the payment to reach Kyle. Throughout this period, Kyle was incredibly patient and kept us updated on the progress of the payment. His professionalism in handling the situation and assisting us with arranging the required documents, such as insurance coverage and e-visa, was truly commendable.
Upon our arrival in Bhutan, we were warmly welcomed by our tour guide, Mr Bhim and our driver, Mr wangchuk. From the moment we met them, we knew we were in good hand. They formed a perfect team, seamlessly working together to ensure our trip was nothing short of amazing. One of the highlight was when they went above and beyond to accommodate our request to visit certain areas not initially in the itinerary.
A true testament to their dedication was when Mr Bhim informed us the night before that certain highway and places of interest would be closed the next day due to the state VIP guests. He promptly picked us up at 6:30am to ensure we avoided any inconvenience. Had we waited until 7am, we would have been stuck at the hotel due to State VIP arrangements. Both Mr Bhim and Mr wangchuk made sure our journey started early and ended at 5pm, maximising our time and experience in Thimphu.
Throughout our trip, both Mr Bhim and Mr Wangchuk went out of their way to make us comfortable. They helped carry our belongings, provided us with umbrella during unpredictable weather, and shared they’d vast knowledge of Bhutanese Buddhism and culture.
A standout moment was trekking to tiger nest, where both Mr Bhim and Mr Wangchuk accompanied us, sharing stories and insight about the place. It was an enriching experience that made the trek even more memorable.
Overall, our journey with Asia odyssey travel was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to the professionalism, dedication and care of Mr Kyle, Mr Bhim and Mr Wangchuk. That turned what could have been challenging situation into seamless experience, ensuring we had the best time exploring the beautiful country of Bhutan. We highly recommend Asia odyssey travel for anyone looking to embark on an unforgettable adventure in Bhutan.

We went to Tibet at June 2019,our tour was arrange by Amy from Chengdu, she is very kind and helpful, we have a lot of questions before the trip, she can answer them with full of patience.
First day, our driver and tour guide waited at airport and drive us to our lovely hotel (4 star himalaya hotel). the tour guide Mr Ba Sang from Tibet is very caring and helpful throughout the journey. Everything is well planned and taken care of. He brings us to nice local restaurants and have a good taste of local cuisine. In temple, we given detail explanation on the culture and explain to us the practice of the people. Experience at Everest Base camp is unforgettable, we able to see the remarkable view of everest mountain.
Tibet is a place you will want to visit again and again. Driver Mr Xia is a good, responsible and steady driver. He drives us safely to all locations. Hopefully next time we can join the Ling Zhi trip to see flowers in spring time.
