We asked Asia Odyssey to arrange a private tour based on their 8 Days Classic Yunnan Tour of Kunming, Dali, Shangri-La and Lijiang.
Tani was their representative who guided us through the process. Tani was highly professional, very responsive, and very helpful in tailoring the tour to our specific needs. We ended up with a tailor-made private tour for only a little more than the group tour would have cost.
The drivers were very able and punctual, and our four guides (Frank in Kunming, Sally in Dali, Lobsang in Shangri-La, and Sandy in Lijiang) were all very knowledgeable, helpful, and great fun to be with. Each was from a local minority group from their area which made the experience all the more special.
This was the first time that I have used Asia Odyssey, but I am sure it will not be the last!

We reached out to Asia Odyssey Travel back in early June to make private ground tour arrangement for our family trip to China. Tani from Asia Odyssey Travel has been very patient and accommodating to all our requests and has been wonderful to deal with the entire time. We were so worry on our 1st day of arrival when our flight was rescheduled to reach early morning. But to our relief, Asia Odyssey ensure that we have driver to pick us up at 330am in the morning even though our custom clearance took us 2 hours. Imagine we have old and young ones in our group on early morning during winter.
The entire trip itinerary was plan exactly what we requested. I would recommend this agency to anyone who would like to make private ground tour in China.

We arrived in Xiamen on 25/7/24 right along with the typhoon. Tani was superb, she messaged me whilst I was on the plane to discuss about re-arranging our itinerary to avoid the typhoon. I had booked my own hotel in Putien and Tani helped me to call them to push back the arrival date. When we arrived, the driver whisked us to our Xiamen hotel to sort out the check-in date (as this was brought forward). Tani arranged for a new guide to meet us at the hotel so that we could continue with our sightseeing in Xiamen. She also checked in frequently with me to ensure that everything was fine. I would highly recommend her service; even before we left for China, she was very proactive in helping me plan for this trip, as I was trying to find some off the beaten track place in Xianyou County.
