Day 2 Chengdu Golf Tour | Luxe Hills International Country Club, Free Exploration (Jinli Old Street)

Today, you'll be transferred to the southern part of Chengdu, in Tianfu New District, for a memorable round of city golf at Luxe Hills International Country Club.

Designed by renowned architect Mark Hollinger, this 18-hole, par-72 golf course stretches 7,335 yards. It masterfully blends North American aesthetic with the characteristics of a hilly links course.

The course boasts stunning natural features, including beautiful ravines, flowing waterfalls, striking rock faces, and expansive ginkgo forests. Each hole offers its own distinct charm, from the pear blossoms like clouds and snow at Hole 1, to the crape myrtles swaying by the water at Hole 4, and the vibrant blossoms at Hole 7, ensuring golfers genuinely experience both challenge and delight. As you play, you'll also enjoy views of the various European and American-style villas, with their diverse facades and architectural forms, blending seamlessly with the course scenery.

Signature Holes at Luxe Hills:

Luxe Hills takes full advantage of the local topography, with each of its 18 holes being unique. The course features several "signature holes":

  • Hole 2 (One of the Signature Holes): This hole is flanked by towering rock faces and a lake. In autumn and winter, the surrounding colorful foliage, illuminated by the setting sun.
  • Hole 7 (Uphill Par 5): This hole presents a narrow fairway and dense bunkers, testing a player's accuracy and strategic choices.
  • Hole 13 (Double Fairway): A classic example of strategic design. The left route is more challenging, requiring precise distance control on the first shot, while the more conservative right route faces the dual test of a long shot and tree obstruction.
  • "Luxe Hills Corner" (Holes 11, 12, 13): These three holes on the back nine have been specifically designed as a featured landscape area, named "Luxe Hills Corner" in homage to Augusta's "Amen Corner."
  • Hole 12 (Another Signature Hole): This beautiful par-3 features a koi pond and a unique rock face waterfall in front. When the course is busy, players can take a short break here to enjoy the koi, adding to the enjoyment of the round.
  • Hole 18: The final hole's green is nestled within a large body of water. Reflecting on your round here after finishing Hole 18 is a truly unique experience.

Enjoy your 4-5 hours of golf here. We wish you good mood and a great result for your first round!

Free Time Ideas in Chengdu:

After your golf tour, take some free time to explore Jinli Old Street in downtown area. As you walk along Jinli Street, you can admire brilliant traditional Chinese buildings in Qing Dynasty style (1616-1911), browse all kinds of souvenirs (like Shu embroidery, lacquer products, folk handicrafts, calligraphy, and paintings), and try delicious local snacks such as Dan Dan Noodles, Bon Bon Chicken, Sweet Potato Noodles with Pork Intestines, and Sour and Spicy Tofu Pudding. Day 3 Chengdu Golf Tour | Sichuan International Golf Club, Free Exploration (Global Center)

Today, prepare for your second round of golf in Chengdu at Sichuan International Golf Club, Sichuan's very first golf club. This esteemed course has successfully hosted numerous prestigious events, including the BAT China Professional Golf Alliance Cup Elite Tournament and the BMW Series China Golf Invitational. Conveniently located, it's also 10-minute drive to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.

Sichuan International Golf Club is renowned for its unique hilly links style, with design that expertly utilizes the natural terrain of the Muma Mountain area, presenting noticeable undulations throughout.

Distinctive Holes: The course boasts many signature holes, enhanced by its 2008 renovation:

  • Hole 12: This notable hole features a lake along its left side, stretching from the tee box to behind the green, with a total length of 349 yards (from the blue tees). Golfers can choose a safe play or attempt a risky, rewarding shot directly over the water to the green.
  • Hole 14: The teeing ground here was expanded, and numerous Bauhinia flowers were planted to the left of the white tees, enhancing the hole's protection and beauty. Additionally, adjustments to the sand bunker surfaces in the first landing zone now provide clear visibility of the hazards from the tee.

Challenging Greens: The 2008 renovation also introduced more diverse and challenging greens. For instance, Hole 12's green was redesigned into a two-tiered structure with a 100cm elevation difference, significantly increasing its challenge and enjoyment.

Enjoy your 4 to 5 hours of golfing here, embracing the strategic play and scenic beauty.

Free Time Ideas: Explore Global Center

Our Hokkaido Summer Trip Was The Perfect Escape

I’m so glad we chose to do this tour! We were looking for a way to escape the summer heat, and Hokkaido was a dream come true. The air was so fresh and the scenery was just incredible—I swear my photos don’t even do it justice.

The highlight for me was definitely the lavender fields in Furano. They were even more beautiful in person than in all the pictures you see online. Our private guide knew the best spots to get a great view without fighting the crowds. Plus, we got to see all the other rainbow flower fields in Biei which were just as amazing.

The trip was super relaxing because we didn't have to worry about a thing. Our driver was so professional, and it was a huge relief to have a private car just for our family. It made getting between all the different towns so easy. We loved exploring the charming canal in Otaru and getting to eat all the fresh seafood in Sapporo. The food in Hokkaido is seriously on another level!

Our Japan Trip: Way Better Than I Expected!

My family and I just got back from the 8-day Classic Japan tour with Asia Odyssey Travel, and honestly, it was amazing. We were a bit worried about the price at first, but it was totally worth it. The best part was how smooth everything was—we didn't have to stress about a single thing.

The itinerary was perfect. Tokyo was crazy fun, and our guide did a great job showing us all the main spots like Shibuya Crossing and Senso-ji Temple. The day trip to Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi was breathtaking, and the views were just insane. Kyoto was exactly what we pictured, with all the beautiful temples and the Gion area. We loved just walking around and soaking it all in.

What I really appreciated was the flexibility. Our guide was super chill and let us spend extra time at places we loved, like the Tsukiji Outer Market. It felt less like a rigid tour and more like traveling with a friend who knows the country inside and out. Having a private tour for just our group was a game-changer—no waiting for 40 other people on a bus, which was a huge relief.

Even though the website didn't list every single detail, everything was handled professionally, from the hotels to the transport. It was a fantastic experience and I would 100% recommend it, especially if you're a first-timer to Japan and want to see the best of the country without the usual travel headaches.

Finally Saw Mt. Fuji in Real Life

I joined the Mount Fuji Private Tour from Tokyo and honestly, it was one of the best days of my trip!

The driver picked us up right from our hotel in Tokyo, which was super convenient. No stress about trains or transfers. On the way, we could already see glimpses of Mt. Fuji, and by the time we reached the 5th Station, wow… it was breathtaking. Standing there, halfway up the mountain, looking at the peak disappearing into the clouds—it felt surreal.

Next stop was Lake Kawaguchi, and that’s where I really fell in love with the view. The lake was calm like a mirror, perfectly reflecting Mt. Fuji. It’s the kind of place where you just want to sit down, relax, and soak it all in. Of course, we took a million photos, but honestly, the view itself is unforgettable.

What I liked most was the pace—since it was a private tour, we weren’t rushed at all. We could take our time at each spot, stop for coffee or snacks, and even adjust the schedule a bit. The guide was friendly, spoke great English, and also helped us find the best photo angles (and even took some group shots for us!).
