Day 1 Macau Tour from Hong Kong by Ferry

Néih hóu! Hong Kong is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city with a unique blend of Eastern and Western cultures. It is a global financial center, a major tourist destination, and a foodie's heaven. If you have already explored Hong Kong and are looking to venture further, consider taking a day tour from Hong Kong to Macau. Begin your journey in the morning by heading to the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal, where you can catch a TurboJET ferry to Macau. The ferry ride takes approximately 55 minutes and will bring you to Macau's Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal.

Upon arriving in Macau, start your exploration by visiting some of the iconic landmarks. The first stop could be the Ruins of St. Paul's, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This magnificent structure features a facade adorned with statues of saints, angels, and dragons, showcasing a fusion of Portuguese and Chinese influences. The grandeur of the church's facade and the intricate carvings are truly awe-inspiring. Take the opportunity to climb the stairs to the top of the facade, where you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of Macau and the Pearl River Delta.

Next, make your way to Fortaleza do Monte, also known as "Mount Fortress." This 17th-century fortification was originally built by the Jesuits and served as a defensive system. Climb Mount Hill within the fort and enjoy panoramic views of the city of Macau from its balustrades. As you explore, you'll also come across old cannons, providing a glimpse into the fort's historical significance.

Afterward, take a leisurely stroll to Senado Square, a vibrant public square situated in the heart of Macau. Visiting Senado Square immerses you in the city's unique culture and heritage. The colonial-style buildings that surround the square serve as reminders of Macau's Portuguese past, while the numerous shops and restaurants offer a delightful experience of the city's diverse culinary scene.

Make sure to pay a visit to the A-Ma Temple, the oldest temple in Macau, dedicated to the goddess Mazu, who is revered as the protector of seafarers. Explore the various buildings within the temple complex and learn about their religious significance.

If you're interested, you can also venture to the Venetian Macao, the largest casino in the world. Take some time to experience the opulence of the resort, try your luck at the tables or slots, or simply relax and soak in the luxurious atmosphere.

Transportation

In a private tour, it means you will transfer to the tourist attractions in one city by private vehicle. The private car we selected is spacious, comfortable and air-conditioned. And the driver we use are very experienced. As for traveling between two destinations, we use domestic flights (economy seat) or high speed trains (second class seat, usually less than 6 hours). The local guides and drivers will pick you up at the airport/train stations, and escort you to the hotel.

Meals

“B” stands for breakfast. You will have it at your hotel in the morning.

“L” stands for lunch. The restaurants we will arrange for you are all designated tourist restaurants approved by local tourist administration bureau. All are in good sanitary conditions. Your guide will assist you with ordering the dishes.

“D” means dinner. All dinners are excluded in the itinerary. You have the chance to taste some authentic Chinese food and local snacks.

If you have special dietary requirements (vegetarian, halal, kosher, Indian, or gluten-free), please let us know before your booking. We will try our best to take care of you.

I Left My Heart In Zhangjiajie

I'm a Singaporean traveller who booked a private solo tour. I chanced upon AOT after I googled and decided to travel last min. My planner from AOT named Rita was very patient towards all my request and changes, she is knowledgeable and provided excellent advice for my 8 days trip arrangement from Shanghai, Zhangjiajie N Chongqing. Although there were very minor hiccups just like any overseas holiday, it was still a well planned trip.
