Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa

Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa opened in 2005 and is a sister island to Lily Beach Resort, situated in the Haa Alifu Atoll, Maldives. Travelers can access the resort via a 50-minute domestic flight followed by a 20-minute speedboat ride, or a direct 65-minute seaplane flight from Malé. The resort is located on a crescent-shaped private island, which is so expansive that a complete walk around it takes approximately 50 minutes. Near the jetty, especially on the side close to the channel, there are abundant fish and corals, along with small trailing beaches.
Following its extensive renovation in 2014, Hideaway now boasts 103 exceptionally spacious villas. Fifty-seven of these are contemporary style over-water villas perched on stilts over the lagoon, and forty-six are beachfront villas, offering a timeless, classic Maldives feel. Each villa is secluded among lush tropical gardens with a private beach, and most feature their own private pools or Jacuzzis. The resort features four restaurants and bars that provide exquisite dining experiences, including an excellent wine collection and customizable dining options.
The Hideaway Spa offers a sanctuary for relaxation and wellness, featuring 12 private treatment suites, a steam room, and a hair salon set in manicured gardens. For the active guest, there are two outdoor pools, a recreation center with a gym, two tennis courts, and a beach volleyball court. Additionally, the resort offers extensive water sports, snorkeling and diving at some of the best dive sites in the world. The famous Dhonakulhi reef sits only 10 to 30 meters away from the shore, and manta rays, dolphins, turtles and whale sharks often visit.
Hideaway is also very family-friendly, hosting a large children's club that offers numerous recreational activities for young guests throughout their stay. In November 2015, the resort added an over-water aqua park featuring floats, slides, and water trampolines, available complimentary to all guests, enhancing the fun and entertainment options available.
