Kandolhu Maldives Resort, which opened on January 11, 2014, is a luxurious hotel under the Universal Resorts umbrella. Located in Ari Atoll, it's just a 25-minute seaplane ride from Malé International Airport. Kandolhu Island Resort is a paradise for snorkeling enthusiasts. Even in the Maldives, an island as perfectly formed as Kandolhu is rare. The island is lush, with wide sandy beaches surrounding the emerald green and is home to one of the most colorful and vibrant house reefs in the Maldives.
Kandolhu offers 30 villas in 5 different styles, each distinct in design. All villas feature Maldivian architecture with modern interiors. They are all set in prime locations with either direct beach access or clear views of the Indian Ocean. Particularly, the Ocean Pool Villa features fully transparent glass walls, including the washroom and bathtub, all facing the sea, ensuring complete privacy. Despite its small size, the island boasts 5 restaurants and 1 bar, including a main restaurant, Italian restaurant, seafood restaurant, Japanese restaurant, and a poolside bar, all offering à la carte dining with excellent quality dishes.
For those who love snorkeling, Kandolhu is not to be missed. Located just a few minutes from some of the best dive sites in North and South Ari Atoll, Kandolhu is a favorite among the best dive resorts in the Maldives, including Maalhos Thila, Hafsa Thila, Bathalaa Thila, Himendhoo Thila, Fesdu Wreck, and even the protected dive site Fish Head, which has lots of caves and overhangs
