Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi officially opened in July 2019, becoming Hilton Hotel Group's second luxury resort in the Maldives after Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. Located in the South Male Atoll, the resort is accessible by a 30-minute luxury speedboat ride. Spanning across three linked islands, including a private island, Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi extends over 2.2 miles of lush greenery and pristine beaches surrounding a vibrant lagoon.
The resort features a total of 122 private villas, offering more than 20 different types of accommodations including beach, reef, and overwater villas, all equipped with large private pools. The architectural design of these villas maximizes breathtaking views of the blue waters. The two-bedroom and three-bedroom villas are ideal for family outings, providing extra space and high levels of privacy. Each villa boasts expansive outdoor living areas, infinity pools, pavilions, and swinging hammocks, perfect for relaxation. The bathrooms are stocked with luxury Italian Ferragamo toiletries.
With 11 dining restaurants and Bars, including a treetop restaurant, a cave restaurant, an overwater Japanese restaurant by Zuma, and the iconic Waldorf Astoria lounge called Peacock Alley, the resort offers an unusually rich variety of dining options for the Maldives. The on-site wellness spa features 10 treatment villas, and the resort offers a range of activities including a diving and water sports center, yoga, a tennis court, a fitness center, romantic wedding pavilion and complimentary bicycles for every villa.
