Why Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course?
1.Advantages: Top 100 Golf Courses in Asia. Hong Kong’s only public course, offering rare access without membership. It offers breathtaking views of the Sai Kung Peninsula, a UNESCO Global Geopark. 30-minute ferry from Sai Kung Pier (downtown Hong Kong: 1 hour). Solar-powered carts, wildlife conservation areas. Affordable access with world-class design.
2.Hosted Championships: Hong Kong PGA Championship, Kau Sai Chau International Amateur Open, and junior tournaments.
3.Disadvantages: Peak-hour crowds: Weekends book out weeks ahead; limited tee times for non-residents. The ferry ride, while scenic, can add extra travel time. Exposed coastal winds on South Course challenge accuracy. No luxury amenities: Basic clubhouse; no on-site hotel or spa.
4.Facilities: Pro shop, driving range, and casual seaside restaurant. Free shuttle buses between courses and ferry pier. Equipment rentals: Clubs, carts, and GPS-enabled trolleys.
5.Feedback: “Unreal ocean views - like playing golf in a postcard!” “South Course’s cliffside holes are worth the ferry ride alone.” “Best value in Hong Kong, but book early - it’s packed!” “Gary Player’s design tests every club in your bag.” “Windy conditions make every round a new challenge.” “The North Course is challenging yet fair, while the South Course offers longer holes and fantastic landscapes.” “The ferry ride to the course is a unique and relaxing way to start the golfing day.” "The variety of courses provides a great challenge for all skill levels." Golf at Discovery Bay Golf Club (Since 1983), one of Southeast Asia’s premier golfing destinations & Hong Kong’s Family-Friendly Golf Oasis! A private course (member-only) with challenging fairways and panoramic views of Discovery Bay and the South China Sea. Discovery Bay Golf Club is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and accessible golf within a planned community setting.
Designed by renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., Discovery Bay Golf Club offers three 9-hole courses with ocean views: Diamond Course (Par 36, 3,485 yards), Jade Course (Par 36, 3,501 yards), and Ruby Course (Par 36, 3,482 yards). These courses can be played in various combinations, creating a flexible and unique 18-hole layout every time. It is perfect for beginners, juniors, or a relaxed round.
The Diamond Course, with its dramatic elevation changes and quickly sloping greens, is regarded as the most challenging layout among the three. The Ruby Course is less difficult off the tee and has incredible views from its lofty elevations. The Jade Course, unlike the previous two, features more water and more challenging dogleg holes.
Nestled on Lantau Island, this casual gem is only 10 minutes from Hong Kong Disneyland, and 20 minutes from Hong Kong International Airport, and a 25-minute drive from the Central financial district. I’m so glad we chose to do this tour! We were looking for a way to escape the summer heat, and Hokkaido was a dream come true. The air was so fresh and the scenery was just incredible—I swear my photos don’t even do it justice.
The highlight for me was definitely the lavender fields in Furano. They were even more beautiful in person than in all the pictures you see online. Our private guide knew the best spots to get a great view without fighting the crowds. Plus, we got to see all the other rainbow flower fields in Biei which were just as amazing.
The trip was super relaxing because we didn't have to worry about a thing. Our driver was so professional, and it was a huge relief to have a private car just for our family. It made getting between all the different towns so easy. We loved exploring the charming canal in Otaru and getting to eat all the fresh seafood in Sapporo. The food in Hokkaido is seriously on another level!
