Luxor Temple Tour in Daytime

On this day after breakfast, we begin our journey at the overwhelming complex of Karnak Temple, the largest religious site ever built by human hands.

Walking through the imposing first pylon, you will feel incredibly small as you enter the legendary Great Hypostyle Hall, a forest of 134 colossal sandstone columns that shoot up toward the heavens like ancient stone trees.

Your expert guide will unravel the intricate hieroglyphics carved deep into the stone, guiding you through a labyrinth of obelisks, sacred lakes, and chapels that took over 2,000 years to complete under the golden Egyptian sun.

After absorbing the sheer scale of Karnak, we follow the historical thread south to Luxor Temple for a daytime preview. Seeing this temple by day allows you to appreciate its architectural symmetry.

You will stand in awe before the towering statues of Ramses II and the monumental pink granite obelisk, admiring how the bright daylight reveals the finer details of the battle reliefs and divine carvings that have guarded this sanctuary for centuries.

Luxor Temple Tour at Night

As afternoon fades into twilight and the fierce sun dips below the horizon, we return to Luxor Temple to witness its dramatic transformation. When darkness falls after 18:00, the magic truly begins as the entire temple complex is illuminated with a warm, theatrical amber glow.

Walking down the famous Avenue of Sphinxes under the stars, the beautifully lit statues create an unforgettable atmosphere of ancient romance and mystery.

The shadows cast by the lights give the giant pharaonic statues a lifelike presence, making you feel as though you are walking alongside the ancient kings themselves during a nocturnal ritual.

After the Luxor Temple Night Tour, you will be escorted to the airport/port to catch your flight or cruise. You will leave Luxor behind, but the memory of monumental pylons, illuminated stone columns under the stars, and the grandiosity of the Pharaohs will undoubtedly stay with you for a lifetime.

This immersive show brings the massive columns and pylons of Karnak Temple to life with dramatic lighting and music. As you walk through the illuminated Avenue of Sphinxes and the Great Hypostyle Hall, a haunting narrative unveils the rise of Thebes and the glorious history of the Pharaohs who built this ancient wonder.

On this day, you will be transferred to the Cairo Airport for your morning flight to Aswan (1h 20m).

Upon your arrival in Aswan, your local Egyptologist guide will meet you at the airport to begin your 4 days 3 nights luxury Nile cruise (5 star).

Your journey starts this afternoon as we explore the highlights of Aswan:

First, we drive to the Aswan High Dam. Often called the "Second Pyramid" of Egypt, this massive feat of modern engineering tamed the mighty Nile and created Lake Nasser, one of the world’s largest artificial reservoirs. From the observation deck, you’ll get a panoramic view of the dam’s 3.6-kilometer span and the striking contrast between the vast, still reservoir and the flowing river below.

Next, we take a short boat ride to the Philae Temple, widely known as the "Pearl of the Nile." This temple is a stunning blend of Ancient Egyptian and Greco-Roman architecture. Built in the 4th century BC as a home for the Goddess Isis, it is one of the most romantic and beautifully preserved sites in Egypt. The temple has a fascinating history - it was meticulously moved stone-by-stone to its current island home to save it from the rising waters of the Nile. As you walk through the complex, you’ll see the Temple of Isis, Hadrian’s Gate, and the iconic Kiosk of Trajan, with its elegant columns perfectly reflected in the water.

Finally, we visit the Unfinished Obelisk. This is a fascinating look into the past - it’s the largest single piece of stone ever carved by humans. Commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut 3,500 years ago, it offers a rare glimpse into ancient construction techniques. Had it been completed, it would have stood 42 meters tall (as high as a 14-story building) and weighed an incredible 1,200 tons. You can still see the cracks that forced the ancient builders to abandon it, leaving it as a permanent monument to their ambition.

After the tour, you will be transferred to your deluxe cruise ship to check in. Enjoy a relaxing lunch and dinner on board as you settle in for your first night on the Nile.

After breakfast, set out to explore Luxor’s legendary West Bank, the ancient “City of the Dead.”

Valley of the Kings

Your first stop is the Valley of the Kings, the hidden burial place of Egypt’s New Kingdom pharaohs. Nestled beneath the limestone cliffs of Al-Qurn, this remarkable necropolis is home to richly decorated royal tombs. Visit three impressive tombs and admire their vibrant wall paintings, where brilliant reds, yellows, and blues have survived for more than 3,000 years.

Tour Note: Premium tombs, including those of Tutankhamun, Seti I, and Ramesses VI, require separate entrance tickets. Your guide will be happy to assist if you wish to visit them.

Continue to the magnificent Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Luxor’s most iconic landmarks. Built into dramatic limestone cliffs, its graceful terraces reflect the vision and ambition of Egypt’s most celebrated female pharaoh.

Before leaving the West Bank, stop at the Colossi of Memnon for memorable photos. These two towering statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III have stood watch over the Theban Plain for more than 3,000 years.

After lunch, you will be escorted by comfortable air-conditioned vehicle to Hurghada (310 km, about 4 hours). Upon arrival, check in to your Red Sea resort and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Today after a fresh resort breakfast, step aboard our premium marine vessel at 08:30 AM. By setting sail early, you effortlessly beat the large tourist crowds, ensuring a tranquil and exclusive experience on the open waters of the Red Sea.

As you cruise towards Giftun Island, your captain drops anchor at our first snorkeling site. Dress on your sanitized, top-tier, professional-grade snorkeling equipment (masks, snorkels, and fins).

At 02:30 PM around, you cruise to a completely different marine location for your second snorkeling. Enjoy your 1 hour snorkeling there. If lucky, you may have a chance to swim with lovely dolphins.
