After breakfast, spend most of the day on the mountain, then visit the village at the foot.
Welcome to Fanjingshan (梵净山), a UNESCO-listed "Pure Land" and one of China’s **No. 5 Buddhist Mountain (**Maitreya Bodhisattva). It’s a living time capsule where you can find ancient Dove trees that survived the age of dinosaurs. This massive 800-million-year-old mountain stands out like an island in a sea of karst, offering a rare, misty escape into Earth’s most ancient secrets.
First, you'll take a 30-minute sightseeing bus up the mountain, followed by a 20-minute cable car ride. From above, glance up at the distant skyline, with ever-changing clouds occasionally engulfing the cable car.
After the cable car, hike 40 minutes along the Forest Hiking Road to reach the iconic Mushroom Stone (蘑菇石). This ten-meter natural wonder has stood for a billion years, defying gravity with its unique, conical shape. Capture a photo with this Fanjingshan landmark. (Optional: enjoy 10-minute to Old Summit Peak.)
Next, descend toward the Red Clouds Golden Summit (红云金顶), a baguette-shaped peak famous for the decisive crack splitting its center. This sacred pilgrimage site stands at 2,336 meters, featuring two temples connected by a bridge symbolizing the bridge between reality and future.
Descend to Pudu Square to visit Chengen Temple (承恩寺). This Ming Dynasty sanctuary, nestled against the Red Clouds Golden Summit, offers pilgrims and hikers a peaceful retreat amidst endless mountain views.
After that, take cable car and sightseeing bus back down the same route.
Tips:
End your day at Yunshe Village (云舍), the "No. 1 Tujia Village in China" at the foot of Fanjingshan. Walk along wooden boardwalks and ancient waterwheels to explore traditional "Tongzi Houses" and local life. At Shenlong Pool, you can capture the stunning emerald water and soak in the peaceful atmosphere.
Back to hotel.

After breakfast, drive 1 hour back to Tongren. You will visit Tongren Grand Canyon and Zhongnanmen Ancient City.
Tongren Grand Canyon (铜仁大峡谷), known as the "Little Zhangjiajie," is a Karst Museum in eastern Guizhou. Stretching 50 km, this formidable canyon features towering peaks, primeval forests, and cascading waterfalls. Spend 90 minutes along the plank paths to immerse yourself in nature. Admire the crystal-clear streams, dragon-like pools, and frequent rainbows on one side, while challenging your imagination to spot the bizarre rock formations hidden among the karst peaks across the canyon.
Return along the same plank path you came by.
Next, explore Zhongnanmen Ancient City (中南门古城), the only well-preserved Ming and Qing architectural site near Fanjingshan. Wander through centuries-old alleys and docks, admiring the iconic "Cat-Back" firewalls with their intricate carvings. The red walls, grey tiles, and stone streets of this historic old town offer a perfect, authentic backdrop for photography.
After the tour, your guide will escort you to Airport/Train Station.

Guiyang, Guizhou's provincial city, is your main hub for flights and trains. Attractions are spread out, so driving is often the best way to explore Guizhou's remote natural sites and ethnic villages.
Spring (March-May) and Autumn (September-October) are ideal. Avoid Chinese New Year, May Day (May 1-5), and National Day Holiday (October 1-7) due to crowds.
They are welcoming, but it's better to ask about village traditions before entering homes (e.g., don't step on doorsteps, enter inner rooms only if invited).
If offered "Lanmen Wine (拦门酒)," a small sip shows thanks if you can't finish it; accepting the cup by hand usually means you'll drink it all.
1. Weather & Sun: Guizhou's weather is changeable, so carry a dual-purpose umbrella and more types of clothes. Always apply sunscreen due to strong UV radiation from the plateau terrain.
2. Guizhou Cuisine: Known for its spicy and sour flavors and strong aromas, like Sour Soup Fish. Your guide can help you find suitable restaurants if you're not used to the local cuisine.

Accommodation standards in Guizhou may not be as developed as those in major cities like Beijing or Shanghai. We recommend choosing 4-star standard hotels or above for better comfort and service.
Guiyang offers the widest selection of international and domestic hotel chains. Other major cities like Anshun, Libo, and Tongren offer decent hotel options, though international brands are limited.
In the Qiandongnan ethnic minority region (Kaili, Xijiang, Congjiang, Rongjiang, Zhaoxing, Zhenyuan), accommodations primarily consist of boutique guesthouses and some mid-range hotels. For Jiabang Terraces, mountain inns are available.
Please note that hotels may not offer Western breakfast or English service, but our guides will assist with language at check-in/out to ensure a smooth and pleasant stay in Guizhou.
