Day 2 Hong Kong City Tour | Star Ferry, Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay, Aberdeen Fishing Village, Transfer to Shenzhen

Today, you will enjoy a half-day guided tour (09:00-13:30, about 4.5 hours) with us to explore the stunning city skyline, the beautiful Victoria Harbour, the traditional way of life, and the beach scenery.

In the morning, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby between 08:50 and 09:00. It's time to enjoy your half-day trip in Hong Kong and explore the stunning skylines from a different perspective. Start by taking the famous Star Ferry (天星小轮) at Tsim Sha Tsui Pier (尖沙咀码头) and cross Victoria Harbour between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon in just 7 minutes. The Star Ferry, a historic ferry service that has been operating in Hong Kong since 1888, offers a unique experience with breathtaking views of the iconic skyline and Victoria Harbor. Disembark at Central Star Ferry Pier (中环天星码头).

After that, pay a visit to the highest point of Hong Kong Island - Victoria Peak (about 552 meters), also known as the Peak, where you can enjoy stunning views of the city skyline from another perspective. You will take the famous Peak Tram, which has been in operation for more than 130 years, and journey through the verdant woods to explore some hidden old buildings that were left behind from old Hong Kong. Once you reach the Peak, make sure to visit the Sky Terrace 428 - an observation deck that offers 360-degree views of the breathtaking Hong Kong skyline and beautiful harbor. Seize this rare opportunity to capture some amazing photos from the top.

Later, drive about 30 minutes from the Peak to the Aberdeen Fishing Village, where you will experience a very interesting contrast and change of pace from the Hong Kong business district and Kowloon. Aberdeen is a historic fishing village located in the Southern District of Hong Kong Island. It is one of the oldest and most traditional fishing villages in Hong Kong. Take a sampan ride through the village and witness the traditional way of life of the boat people. Visit the Aberdeen Wholesale Fish Market and see the fresh seafood that is caught and sold in Hong Kong. If time permits, take a stroll along the Aberdeen Promenade and enjoy the breathtaking views of the harbor and the surrounding mountains.

Lastly, escape the bustling cityscape and head to the tranquil Repulse Bay, one of Hong Kong's most famous beaches. Sink your toes into the soft sand, soak up the sun, and take a refreshing dip in the clear waters of the South China Sea. With its picturesque surroundings and serene ambiance, Repulse Bay offers the perfect setting for relaxation. Whether you choose to unwind on the beach or indulge in water activities, this coastal oasis will leave you rejuvenated. (Note: In the event of unfavorable weather conditions for beach relaxation, an alternative plan will be executed, leading you to the vibrant Stanley Market. Explore the lively marketplace teeming with an array of exquisite trinkets, fashionable apparel, and unique souvenirs that cannot be found elsewhere. Indulge in a moment of relaxation by savoring a cup of coffee or beer at one of the charming seaside cafés or pubs, providing respite from the bustling crowds.) Upon concluding the tour, you will be accompanied back to your hotel.

In this late afternoon, get to Hong Kong West Kowloon Train Station for your high speed train to Shenzhen (about 15-20 minutes). Shenzhen is the most competitive and innovative city in China! Bordering Hong Kong, Shenzhen has transformed from a small fishing village into a major metropolis and is known as China's first Special Economic Zone. Upon your arrival at the train station in Shenzhen, the tour guide and driver will meet and greet you at the exit, and then escort you to the well-selected hotel in downtown Shenzhen.

Day 3 Shenzhen Day Tour | Shenzhen Museum, Skyscrapers, Splendid China Folk Village, Shenzhen Bay Park

Today, you will enjoy a full-day guided tour with us to witness the fast development of Shenzhen through its impressive skyline and modern architecture. You will also have fun exploring cultural theme parks and relaxing at the beautiful beach park. In the morning, your guide will meet you either in the hotel lobby in Shenzhen between 08:50 and 09:00. They will then accompany you to the Shenzhen Museum (深圳博物馆) for a comprehensive understanding of the history, folk culture, and development of the city. Inside the museum, you will explore the Folk Culture Exhibition Hall, where lifelike wax figures depict the traditional folk culture, lifestyle, and production methods of Shenzhen, with a specific emphasis on Cantonese and Hakka ethnic traditions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to visit the Shenzhen Reform and Opening Exhibition Hall, providing insights into the rapid growth of the city.

Shenzhen's development has been remarkable, characterized by rapid growth. Despite being the smallest in terms of area among the four major cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, Shenzhen boasts the highest number of skyscrapers. Three iconic buildings stand out in the city: the towering Ping'an Financial Center, soaring to 599 meters in height; the impressive KK100, reaching 442 meters; and the notable Diwang Building, standing at 384 meters. The progressive increase in height among these three structures represents the different stages of Shenzhen's development. You will have the opportunity to ascend the tallest building in Shenzhen and the second-tallest building in China, the Ping'an Financial Center (平安金融中心). This 115-story, 599.1-meter skyscraper is surpassed in height only by the Shanghai Tower. Experience a thrilling ride in the world's fastest elevator and reach the observation deck located on the 116th floor. Witness the remarkable "miracle" of this city's ongoing growth and rapid development. Additionally, you will have the chance to take in the breathtaking panoramic view of Hong Kong from afar.

In this afternoon, make your way to Splendid China Folk Village (锦绣中华民俗村) and immerse yourself in history as you explore 5,000 years of culture in just one day. Splendid China is currently the world's largest and most content-rich scenic miniature area, divided into two parts: Splendid China and Folk Culture Village. The 82 miniature scenic spots are meticulously arranged according to the map of China, with a scale ratio of 1:15. Prepare to embark on a journey through five thousand years of Chinese history, all in a single day. Splendid China Miniature Scenic Area holds the title for being the largest miniature scenic area worldwide. As you stroll through the famous attractions of China, you'll find over 50,000 ceramic figurines carefully placed. Whether you're exploring the Great Wall, admiring the Dunhuang murals, marveling at the Terracotta Warriors of the Qin Dynasty, or taking in the impressive buildings of Hakka Tulou, you'll have the incredible opportunity to "step into history and tour China in one day". While, the Folk Culture Village showcases 27 villages representing different ethnic groups, each offering a glimpse into their religious beliefs, languages, folk customs, traditional music and dance, traditional costumes, folk festivals, distinctive architecture, folk artists, and ethnic flavors. It provides a comprehensive display of the unique cultural characteristics and intriguing humanistic charm of the Chinese nation. Seize the rare opportunity to enjoy their dances and live shows and immerse yourself in the joyful atmosphere.

After indulging in the cultural experience, take a leisurely break at Shenzhen Bay Park (深圳湾公园). Whether you choose to take a leisurely stroll or find a tranquil spot to sit and relax, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the bay. Gaze upon the crystal-clear waters and marvel at the awe-inspiring silhouette of the Hong Kong skyline in the distance. If the weather permits, be sure to capture the beauty of the sunset and savor the gentle breeze that adds to the park's serene ambiance.

After the tour, it is time to transfer you to the train station to bid you farewell. Thank you for choosing Asia Odyssey Travel (AOT) for your Hong Kong Shenzhen tour. We are always dedicated to serving you and look forward to welcoming you again for your future trips to China/Asia.

Superb tour guide, excellent scenic spots
First time in Harbin for my wife and 5-year-old son, and we had an amazing tour with Catherine. Catherine really knows Harbin inside and out, sharing lots of interesting history and making the tour super informative.
Catherine were incredibly patient and always kept the car warm for us, which was a lifesaver in the freezing weather! The tour itself was so convenient, and Catherine was very helpful and patient, always catering to our needs.
The main attractions we visited were the Ice and Snow Festival, the Snow Fair, and the Siberian Tiger Park—all incredible experiences. I’d highly recommend this private tour to anyone visiting Harbin, especially if you don’t speak the language. It’ll save you so much time and effort. Even if you do speak Chinese, taking this private tour will make your trip truly worthwhile and memorable!

Winter Travel to Harbin. Lovely Seeing All The Different Places
We booked a three-day tour with Asia Odyssey Travel, and it was such a great experience! In the freezing cold weather of northeast China, having someone to arrange everything for you is a must. They made our trip so easy and enjoyable.
The only challenge for us was adjusting to the cold, coming from Australia, where it’s 40 degrees in summer! But Asia Odyssey Travel took care of all the details, so we could just focus on enjoying ourselves. We also booked their airport pick-up and drop-off service, which was super convenient and smooth.
I highly recommend Asia Odyssey Travel to anyone planning a trip to Harbin—they truly made our winter adventure unforgettable!

Skiing at Yabuli was a blast—perfect for both beginners and seasoned skiers. Then, exploring China Snow Town felt like stepping into a winter fairy tale. The snow-covered cottages and festive atmosphere were magical!
Harbin’s highlights, like the Ice and Snow Festival and St. Sophia Cathedral, were equally amazing. The colorful ice sculptures were even more stunning in person!
