The best time is November through February, when temperatures are cooler (15–25°C) and outdoor sightseeing is comfortable. March through May can be pleasant but occasionally windy. Summer months (June–August) are very hot, often exceeding 38°C, though attractions remain open and crowds are thinner.
For the Giza Pyramids and GEM, leave 1 day. For a Cairo panoramic trip, plan 3–5 days. Staying around Cairo, add one day to Alexandria or the White & Black Desert.
Most travelers need a tourist visa to enter Egypt. You can apply for an e-visa online before your trip or obtain a visa on arrival at Cairo International Airport.
A quick visit takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. However, we don't follow the quick way, as we want you to visit the Pyramids with the Sphinx, Valley Temple, and the panoramic viewpoint, with the option to go inside.

Get there by opening time — 7am in summer, 8am in winter — to beat the heat and the crowds. Morning light is also best for photography. Between 11am and 3pm, the plateau can get extremely hot, especially in summer. Fridays and weekends tend to be busier; for a more relaxed experience, visit Monday to Thursday.

The Nile Cruise was the highlight of our Egypt trip. We were looking for a relaxing way to experience Upper Egypt, and this journey exceeded expectations.
Our cabin was comfortable, the crew was attentive, and every day brought a new temple to explore. We especially loved Kom Ombo at sunset and arriving in Luxor by river.
