Wudang Mountain was the spiritual highlight of our entire China trip. Our local guide, Liam, was absolutely helpful. He brought the history of Daoism to life. When we visited Purple Cloud Palace, he explained the significance of the roof carvings and the architecture in such detail. Climb to the Golden Peak was certainly challenging, but the view from the Golden Hall at the summit, often shrouded in mist, was worth every single step. We love Tai Chi session. Our instructor, a quiet Wudang master, patiently taught us the fundamentals of balance and peace. For thirty minutes, standing on the mountain path in the clear morning air, I felt completely disconnected from the noise of the outside world. It was a deeply calming, grounding experience that I still practice back home.  read more
