Bali airport departure
Welcome to Bali, Island of the Gods! Upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), also known as Denpasar Airport, your local driver will greet you and transfer you to your hotel near Kuta Beach.
After check-in, the rest of the day is free at your leisure. You may choose to relax at the hotel, take a walk along Kuta Beach, or simply enjoy the tropical atmosphere and sunset views to start your Bali journey.
Known as the Island of the Gods, Bali is a destination where natural beauty, cultural richness, and tropical charm come together. Golden beaches and fiery sunsets set the stage for romance, while emerald rice terraces, hidden waterfalls, and volcanic peaks invite adventure. Ancient temples, vibrant festivals, and daily offerings reveal a deeply spiritual culture found nowhere else in the world.
Arrival Ideas: Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), also known as Denpasar Airport, is Bali’s only international gateway. It’s well connected with direct flights from major cities across Asia (Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Manila, Hong Kong, Tokyo, etc.), Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane), the Middle East (Dubai, Doha), and some European hubs.
Today, you will discover the artistic soul of Bali in Ubud, the island’s cultural hub.
Begin your day with a visit to the Ubud Palace, which was once the official residence of the Ubud royal family. Built in the early 19th century, the palace is a fine example of traditional Balinese architecture, with ornate stone carvings, elegant courtyards, and lush gardens that reflect the island’s artistry and cultural heritage. In the evenings, the palace courtyard transforms into a stage for traditional Balinese dance and music performances, making it a vibrant cultural hub.
Next, explore Ubud’s famous art villages, each renowned for its own specialty. Visit Batubulan Village, famous for its traditional batik-making. Watch local artisans demonstrate the intricate process of creating these colorful textiles.
Continue to Celuk Village, renowned for its skilled goldsmiths and silversmiths, where you can observe delicate jewelry being crafted by hand.
Finally, visit Mas Village, a center of woodcarving, and learn how artisans transform wood into intricate sculptures through generations of craftsmanship.
Here you will not only watch artisans at work, but also choose one hands-on workshop - batik, silver, or woodcarving - to create your own piece of Balinese art to take home as a unique souvenir.
After the tour, check into your hotel in Ubud for your stay.
This morning, depart from Ubud and head north to explore Bali’s scenic countryside.
Your first stop is the Tegalalang Rice Terraces, where emerald-green paddies cascade down the hillsides in stunning layers. Here, you can admire the stunning "Subak" irrigation system, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Hand in hand, stroll along the narrow paths, breathe in the fresh morning air, and capture timeless photos of this dreamy landscape.
Nearby, visit Alas Harum, a scenic coffee plantation with sweeping views of the rice fields, famous for its unique Instagram-worthy photo spots. This area is known for its beautifully crafted giant swings, bird nests, and glass floors, offering breathtaking views of terraced rice fields. Here you can capture picture-perfect memories for your honeymoon album. (Note: The entrance fee is included, but some activities inside may require an additional charge.)
Continue your scenic drive north to reach the serene shores of Lovina Beach (approx. 2.5-3 hours). Check in to your hotel, relax by the sea, and get ready for tomorrow’s dolphin-watching.
Rise early (around 5:30 AM to 6:00 AM) for an unforgettable dolphin-watching boat trip off the coast of Lovina. Dolphins are most active in the early morning as they come closer to shore to feed, and this timing also rewards you with a stunning sunrise over the ocean.
The early morning at Lovina is a spectacle, with dolphins surfacing in playful pods, leaping and diving across the shimmering waters. Their energetic movements paint a magical scene against the glowing morning sky. The experience is conducted respectfully, allowing the dolphins to behave naturally while you capture unforgettable moments from the boat.
Return to your hotel for breakfast and some rest. After driving south to Kuta Beach (approx. 4.5-5 hours). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening by the beach.
This morning, drive from Kuta to Uluwatu (about 1 hour). The route follows dramatic cliffside roads carved into limestone, with one side rising into steep rock walls and the other opening to the vast Indian Ocean. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of crashing waves, rugged coastlines, and even sections of road that cut directly through stone cliffs.
Arrive at the dramatic Uluwatu Cliff (often called Lover’s Cliff), where towering cliffs plunge 70 meters into the sea and waves crash far below. Perched right on top is the sacred Uluwatu Temple (Pura Luhur Uluwatu), one of Bali’s most revered sea temples.
The temple’s cliff-top location makes it one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in Bali, especially at sunset, when the horizon glows in shades of gold and crimson. Stroll along the pathways that wind around the temple grounds, take in the sweeping views of the Indian Ocean, and feel the spiritual atmosphere that has drawn pilgrims here for centuries.
As the sun sets, gather in the temple’s open-air amphitheater to watch the Kecak Fire Dance. Pronounced “ket-chak,” this is a traditional Balinese performance accompanied by rhythmic chanting. More than 50 men wearing Balinese sarongs sit in a circle, chanting in unison as dancers re-enact dramatic episodes from the Hindu epic Ramayana. As fire torches light up the stage against the twilight sky, the performance becomes truly unforgettable.
After the show, take a short drive (about 15–30 minutes) to Jimbaran Beach, famous for its golden sands and beachfront seafood dining. Check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening by the sea.
Today, you'll leave Bali by boat for Lombok, Bali’s quiet sister island. Located east of Bali, Lombok is known for its pristine natural scenery and diverse culture, boasting white-sand beaches, crystal-clear water, and the famous Pink Beach. Unlike Bali, it offers a quieter, slower pace, making it the perfect mix of a honeymoon destination and a safe adventure. Couples can explore unspoiled villages, discover the mysterious Pink Beach, and experience thrilling rafting and waterfall tours together.
Take ferry from Sanur Port to Bangsal Port (about 3.5 hours). Then, your driver will pick you up from the port and take you to your hotel in Kuta. Along the 2-hour drive, you will stop for a meal in Mataram (at your own expense).
Today, spend your time at traditional village and pink beach on southern Lombok.
After breakfast, drive 10 minutes from Kuta to Sade Village. Sade Village is a traditional village of the indigenous Sasak people, located in the central-south part of Lombok. It is a must-visit cultural attraction on the island.
Sasak people still preserve their traditional customs, clothing, and language, which you can only find here. The village's main feature is its traditional Sasak architecture, consisting of about 150 low, rectangular bungalows arranged closely together. From a distance, the village looks like a giant haystack. The tall, steep thatched roofs are made of dry grass or palm leaves, while the walls and floors are constructed with bamboo and clay.
Another special feature is hand-woven textiles, which the diligent women of the village spin from locally grown cotton. The beautiful fabrics depict local plants, villagers, thatched houses, granaries, and chickens. The pace of life here is slow and peacefu. It’s a great chance to experience authentic culture and lifestyle. You may even catch a traditional performance if you're lucky.
Next, you'll drive for nearly 1 hour to Tanjung Luar to board a boat for Pink Beach in the southeastern part of the island. This is one of only seven pink beaches in the world. The sand is incredibly fine and has a romantic pink hue. This spectacle is caused by tiny marine organisms called foraminifera. Their red shells mix with the white coral sand, reflecting a soft pink color in the sunlight. With lush green hills as its backdrop and facing crystal-clear azure water, the beach's natural scenery is pristine and tranquil.
The beach is clean and serene, far from over-development, making it a perfect place to spend a quiet and romantic time with your partner. You can also go snorkeling. The water is as blue as jelly, with colorful corals below and schools of tropical fish swimming right by you. You can even catch lobsters (Optional) and grill them right on the beach.
After the tour, you'll take a boat back to harbor and drive to your hotel. Stay overnight in Kuta, Lombok.
Have a free day relaxing in the Kuta area. Enjoy fresh seafood, Indonesian fried rice, satay, and other local flavors at a restaurant by the beach. You can also browse the handicraft shops in town for souvenirs, or relax with a massage at a beachside spa while watching the sunset.
Optional Activities:
1. Surfing at Selong Belanak Beach:Selong Belanak Beach is one of the most popular and beginner-friendly surfing beaches in southern Lombok. Low hills embrace a tranquil, crescent-shaped bay. The beach boasts soft, white sand, and the clear water has a beautiful gradient of blue. With small, gentle waves, it's hailed as "Lombok's Most Beautiful Crescent Bay." The best time for surfing is during the morning and evening low tides. It's a quick 30-minute drive from Kuta.
2. Lombok Rafting, Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu Waterfull:
Rafting and waterfalls are located near the center of Lombok and are important natural adventure attractions. Rafting is a little-known adventure highlight on the island.
The rafting sections are mostly of moderate to low difficulty, with clear waterways and a high safety rating. During the more rapid sections, you'll get out to walk a short distance, allowing the rafts to navigate the rapids on their own. Later, you can try an exhilarating cliff jump before getting back on the boat. This whole experience is incredibly fun and a great way to get your adrenaline pumping.
The Benang Stokel Waterfall cascades down a high rock face like a vertical line. The Benang Kelambu Waterfall is like a curtain of silk, with water seeping out from vines and bushes. You can hike for a short distance through banana groves, bamboo forests, and coffee trees before you reach them. It's a 1.3h drive from Kuta.
It is time to end your unforgettable 9 Days Bali Lombok Honeymoon Adventure Tour. Your driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar) for your departure flight. Safe travels!
