Morning: Crossing the Strait
Your Moroccan adventure begins with a scenic ferry crossing across the Strait of Gibraltar. We highly recommend departing from the Tarifa port for a direct arrival at Tangier Ville, though you may also choose the route from Algeciras to Tangier Med.
Upon arrival, your private driver will be waiting at the port in Tangier with a personalized signboard to greet you. From here, you’ll head straight into the Rif Mountains. It takes 2 hours’ drive to Chefchaouen. On the way, it offers stunning, rugged landscapes that transition from the coast to the mountain peaks.
Afternoon: The Heart of the Blue City
Nestled against the slopes of two mountains, Chefchaouen is a striking maze of blue- and white-washed houses. This afternoon, your local guide will lead you through the "Blue Pearl."
We start at Outa el-Hammam Square, the vibrant pulse of the medina. Grab a seat at a café terrace to soak in the atmosphere, enjoying an unhurried view of the grand Tarik Ben Ziad Mosque. You’ll notice its distinctive octagonal minaret—a design inspired by the famous Torre de Oro in Seville, reflecting the deep Andalusian roots of this city.
This architectural history continues as we explore the historic Kasbah. Wander through its lush central gardens and discover the ethnographic museum tucked away within its ancient, tower-lined walls.
Get lost in the beautiful streets of the Medina, which are listed as the most beautiful ones in the world. Meet the true culture on its own terms while meandering around the Medina’s streets.
In this late afternoon, we’ll make our way to the Spanish Mosque (Mosque Bouzâafar). Stand at the vantage point and capture the entire blue medina bathed in the soft afternoon light.
Travel Tip: The walk from the medina takes about 20-30 minutes. It is a gentle, steady uphill stroll, so we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes to fully enjoy the view without effort.
Overnight in Chefchaouen.

After breakfast, our driver will take you back to Tangier through the Rif Mountain. With 2 hours’ drive, you will arrive in Tangier.
In Tangier, our local guide will take you to explore Tangier's mythical caves, old fortresses, and bustling plazas before your ferry ride back to Spain.
We begin at the coast. Standing on the cliffs of Cap Spartel, the dramatic northwesternmost point of Africa, you’ll witness the meeting of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.
Just a short drive away lie the Caves of Hercules. Step inside to feel the cool, damp air and gaze through the famous "sea window" - a natural rock opening carved by centuries of waves, perfectly mimicking the silhouette of the African continent.
Next, we ascend to the city’s highest point: the Kasbah. We’ll wander through a labyrinth of blue-and-white lanes, eventually reaching the Kasbah Museum (formerly the Sultan’s Palace). Here, you can admire centuries of history amidst elegant, tiled courtyards. From the heights of the Kasbah, we’ll follow your guide down into the vibrant heart of the Medina, where the air is filled with the scent of fresh mint and warm, baked bread.
Final, our walking tour ends at the Grand Socco, a vibrant, palm-lined plaza bridging the old world and modern Tangier. Here, you can witness the most authentic scenes of local life. Sip a refreshing mint tea to wrap up your time in Tangier.
After the tour, your private driver will transfer you to the Port of Tangier Ville for your ferry crossing back across the Strait of Gibraltar to Tarifa, Spain.

Most travelers prefer spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) because temperatures are comfortable for cities, the desert, and mountain areas.
Spring (March to May): This is one of the most popular times to visit Morocco. The weather is pleasant, flowers bloom across valleys and gardens, and temperatures are comfortable for sightseeing, desert tours, and hiking.
Autumn (September to November): Autumn offers warm sunny days and cooler evenings, especially ideal for Sahara Desert trips and imperial city tours.
For first-time visitors, a 7–10 day Morocco itinerary is considered the ideal duration. This allows travelers to experience Morocco’s imperial cities, desert landscapes, local culture, and scenic mountain regions without feeling rushed.
How to Cover Them Efficiently
A well-designed itinerary typically follows a north-to-south route:
Casablanca → Chefchaouen → Fes → Sahara Desert → Marrakech → Essaouira
This route minimizes backtracking and offers a gradual transition from imperial cities to desert landscapes and coastal relaxation.
| City | Recommended For |
|---|---|
| Casablanca | Comprehensive Morocco tours and first-time travelers |
| Marrakech | Shorter cultural and desert-focused trips |
