Amazing 30-Day Journey Across China — Well Organized and Truly Worth It

I just came back from the 30-Day China Panorama Tour from Guangzhou with Asia Odyssey Travel, and it was truly one of the most memorable trips I’ve ever joined.

From the moment I landed in Guangzhou, everything was well-coordinated. The local guide greeted us at the airport and made us feel welcome right away. We started with classic Cantonese highlights like the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Lychee Bay, and traditional dim sum — a great introduction to southern China’s culture.

The route that followed was impressive. We cruised along the Li River in Guilin, cycled through Yangshuo’s peaceful countryside, and admired the Longji Rice Terraces. In Yunnan, Dali and Lijiang’s old towns were full of character, with snow-capped mountains in the distance. Chengdu was all about pandas and Sichuan food, Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong looked like scenes from a painting, and Chongqing’s mountain city views were unforgettable. The trip ended with Beijing’s Great Wall and Forbidden City, and Shanghai’s skyline — the perfect contrast of history and modern life.

Everything ran smoothly throughout. The guides were professional and friendly, the hotels were clean and comfortable, and transportation was efficient. My personal highlights were sharing bamboo rice with local villagers in Longji, standing by the turquoise lakes of Jiuzhaigou, and watching the city lights in Chongqing after dinner.

Exciting 17 Days China trips with many UNESCO World Heritage Sites
We have gone to China for an exciting 17-day travel covering 10 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, something for a lifetime. Trip was a personalized and was well planned, coordinated and executed by Catherine Wang. We were truly amazed by her patience for nearly 2 months to communicate with us, answering our queries and plan this whole trip.
As for the trip, it went well with the pick-up in Beijing and reorganizing the Beijing sites visit when there was the 80 years celebration parade in Tiananmen square. Perfectly done and start with a bang.
We have travelled in places like Xi'an, Zhangjiajie, Chengdu, Dazu-Chongquing, Three Gorges Cruise, Yichang and finally end up in Shanghai. Every place was magnificent specially those we visited.
In every place we have the comfort due to knowledgeable guides and efficient drivers. They played a fantastic role in the whole 17 days of our trip in China.

Everything went wonderfully Chongqin and Zhangjiajie
The experience was absolutely excellent and incredible. Everything went wonderfully. The tours were perfect. This unique family trip through China will be remembered for a long time. My thanks to Cecilia, who was our agent and contact with the agency to offer us the best possible plan. Her patience and attention in answering all our questions before the trip resulted in an 8-day tour of Chongqing and Zhangjiajie in China, a trip to some of the most wonderful places we've ever visited, a plan carefully planned and charming. The places were beautiful. 5/5 all around.
To Cecilia, thank you so much for everything, for her advice, for giving us the best recommendations and guides. Everything went very well, just as she promised.
Our guides, Jon in Chongqing and Tim in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and the scenic areas in Wulingyuan and Fenghuan, were excellent, very professional, and very kind. They were attentive to us at all times. Thanks to Tim for all the efforts he's made in recovering the bag of medicines lost on the train.
