    1. What is Guizhou famous for?
    icon

Guizhou is characterized by its dramatic karst landscapes, featuring numerous limestone caves, sinkholes, underground rivers, and uniquely shaped mountains. Majestic examples include Huangguoshu Waterfall (the largest in Asia), mystical Fanjingshan Mountain, and the Libo Karst Scenic Area.

Guizhou is rich in ethnic minority cultures, especially the Miao and Dong people. You can experience their unique traditions (Twelve Cups of Block-Way Rice Wine, sickle haircutting rituals), colorful festivals (Sister's Meal Festival, Lusheng Festival), distinctive architecture (drum towers, wind and rain bridges), intricate handicrafts (batik, embroidery), and captivating music and dance (Dong Grand Song, Miao Dances).

It is also well-known for its cool climate, making it a popular summer escape.

    2. What are the must-see attractions in Guizhou?
    icon

Key highlights include Huangguoshu Waterfall, ethnic minority villages like Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village and Zhaoxing Dong Village, Fanjingshan Mountain, Libo Xiaoqikong Scenic Area, and ancient towns like Zhenyuan and Qingyan.

    3. Is a day trip to Macau enough?
    icon

Yes, a day trip to Macau can be enough to explore some of its main attractions and get a taste of the city's unique blend of Portuguese and Chinese cultures. Macau is a relatively small region, and many of its popular tourist spots can be visited within a day.

Some key attractions to consider during a day trip to Macauinclude:

1). Historic Center of Macau: This UNESCO World Heritage site features well-preserved colonial architecture, including iconic landmarks like the Ruins of St. Paul's and Senado Square.

2). Macau Tower: The Macau Tower offers panoramic views of the city and thrilling activities such as bungee jumping and a Skywalk.

3). The Venetian Macao: One of the world's largest casinos and integrated resorts, The Venetian Macao offers a taste of Las Vegas-style entertainment, shopping, and dining.

4). Taipa Village: Explore the charming streets of Taipa Village, known for its Portuguese influences, traditional shops, and delicious Macanese cuisine.

5). A-Ma Temple: This ancient temple dedicated to the goddess of seafarers is a significant cultural and historical site in Macau.

6). Macau Museum: Gain insights into Macau's history and culture through the exhibits at the Macau Museum.

While a day trip can provide a glimpse of Macau's highlights, keep in mind that the city has more to offer, including additional historical sites, temples, casinos, and Macanese cuisine. If you have more time available, consider extending your stay to fully explore and appreciate the unique aspects of Macau.

    5. What Is the Best Time to Visit Kaili?
    icon

    For Pleasant Weather:

    • Spring (March to May):This period generally offers mild and comfortable temperatures, ideal for exploring the city and surrounding minority villages. The landscape is often fresh and green.
    • Autumn (September to November): Similar to spring, autumn boasts pleasant weather with moderate temperatures. This is often considered one of the best times for comfortable travel and sightseeing.

    For Ethnic Festivals:

Kaili is renowned as the "City of a Hundred Festivals." While smaller festivities occur throughout the year, two periods stand out for major celebrations:

    • Late January to February (around the first lunar month):This is when many significant Miao festivals, including some Lusheng Festivals and potentially parts of the Miao New Year celebrations, take place. However, be aware that this period can be quite cold and damp.
    • Late September to November (after the autumn harvest):This is another prime time for experiencing grand festivals like the Miao New Year (which can sometimes fall in November, dates vary by lunar calendar and specific village) and various Lusheng Festivals. The weather during this period is also generally favorable.

    6. What kind of accommodation is available in Guizhou?
    icon

Accommodation standards in Guizhou may not be as developed as those in major cities like Beijing or Shanghai. We recommend choosing 4-star standard hotels or above for better comfort and service.

Guiyang offers the widest selection of international and domestic hotel chains. Other major cities like Anshun, Libo, and Tongren offer decent hotel options, though international brands are limited.

In the Qiandongnan ethnic minority region (Kaili, Xijiang, Congjiang, Rongjiang, Zhaoxing, Zhenyuan), accommodations primarily consist of boutique guesthouses and some mid-range hotels. For Jiabang Terraces, mountain inns are available. Please note that hotels may not offe Western breakfast or English service, but our guides will assist with language at check-in/out.

A Journey Through Guizhou's Hidden Gems"

I recently returned from the 7-Day Colorful Guizhou Tour, and it was an incredible experience. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, offering a perfect blend of natural wonders and cultural immersion.

From the moment we arrived in Guiyang, everything was well-organized. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate, sharing insights about the local Miao and Dong cultures that enriched our visits to the villages. Participating in traditional dances and sampling local cuisine made the experience authentic and memorable.

The natural landscapes were breathtaking. Visiting the Huangguoshu Waterfall, one of the largest in Asia, was a highlight. The Xiaoqikong Scenic Area, with its lush forests and clear waters, felt like stepping into a fairy tale.

Accommodations were comfortable, and the transportation between sites was smooth. The tour struck a great balance between guided activities and free time to explore on our own.

If you're looking to explore a less-traveled part of China rich in culture and natural beauty, I highly recommend this tour. It was a journey that left me with lasting memories and a deeper appreciation for Guizhou's unique charm.

Amazing cultural experience! I joined the 5-Day Guizhou Ethnic Tour.

"Amazing cultural experience! I joined the 5-Day Guizhou Ethnic Tour, and it was absolutely unforgettable. We explored the Miao and Dong villages, experiencing their rich traditions and incredibly warm hospitality. Our guide was fantastic—super knowledgeable and really passionate about sharing local culture. We even got to join in a traditional Miao dance and taste some amazing local food.

The highlight for me was staying overnight in Zhaoxing Dong Village. The drum towers lit up at night were magical, and waking up to mist-covered mountains felt like something out of a dream. The whole itinerary was well-organized, with just the right balance of activities and downtime.

If you're looking to truly experience Guizhou's ethnic culture and stunning landscapes, this tour is a must. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who wants more than just sightseeing.

An Unforgettable Adventure Through Nature's Masterpieces

I recently completed the 7-Day Zhangjiajie & Fanjingshan Tour, and it was an experience beyond words. From the moment we set foot in Zhangjiajie, the towering sandstone pillars of the National Forest Park took my breath away. Walking across the glass bridge suspended over the canyon was both thrilling and awe-inspiring.

Our guide was exceptional—knowledgeable, friendly, and always attentive to our needs. They provided fascinating insights into the local culture and history, making each site visit more meaningful.

The journey to Fanjingshan was equally remarkable. The hike to the summit was challenging but rewarding, offering panoramic views that made every step worthwhile. The unique rock formations and the tranquility of the surroundings provided a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Accommodations throughout the tour were comfortable, and the logistics were handled seamlessly. I appreciated the balance between guided activities and free time to explore on our own.

If you're seeking a blend of adventure, natural beauty, and cultural immersion, this tour is a must. It left me with memories that will last a lifetime.
