Day 2 Coron Town Tour | Half-Day: Lualhati Park, Mt.Tapyas, Centennial Shrine, Souvenir Shop, Coron Church (Optional)icon

Today, our local team will pick you up for a tour of Coron’s most scenic and cultural landmarks.

Lualhati Park & Local Life:

Start your day with a relaxing stroll through Lualhati Park, the town's scenic baywalk. It’s the perfect spot to breathe in the fresh sea air and watch the local boats drift in and out of the harbor. Afterward, we’ll visit a local souvenir shop where you can pick up unique trinkets and treats.

Mt. Tapyas: The Best View in Town

Next, we’ll head to Mt. Tapyas, the most iconic landmark in Coron. Follow the 724-step staircase to the summit. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of the islands and the town below—perfect for photos, especially at sunset.

History & Heritage: Visit the Centennial Shrine to learn about Coron’s journey from a small fishing village to a world-class diving destination. You’ll also discover the culture of the indigenous Tagbanua people. Nearby, you have the option to step inside the historic San Agustin Parish Church (built in 1901), a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of town.

Optional Evening Activity: Maquinit Hot Spring (on Your Own)

For your free time, we highly recommend a visit to Maquinit Hot Spring. It is one of the world’s rare saltwater hot springs. Soaking in the volcano-heated, 40°C waters is the ultimate way to soothe your muscles after a day of exploring.

After the tour, we will escort you back to your hotel for a restful evening.

After breakfast, we’ll pick you up for the "Ultimate Tour" - a day of stunning lakes, hidden lagoons, and vibrant reefs.

The Iconic Lakes: Kayangan & Barracuda

First, we visit Kayangan Lake, famous as the cleanest lake in the Philippines. Surrounded by towering limestone cliffs, its turquoise waters are a dream for photographers and swimmers alike. Next, explore Barracuda Lake, world-renowned for its unique temperature layers. Diving or swimming here feels otherworldly as you pass through shifts of warm and cool water.

Lagoons & Hidden Gems

Experience the magic of Twin Lagoon, where salt and fresh water meet. You can swim through a small crevice or climb over the rocks to enter the hidden second lagoon. For a change of pace, we’ll stop at CYC Beach, a relaxing stretch of white sand and mangroves—perfect for a quick dip or sunbathing.

Beach Lunch & Relaxation

Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch on the powdery white sands of Banul Beach. With its dazzling clear water and majestic cliff backdrop, it is the perfect spot to refuel and soak in the tropical vibes.

Underwater Wonders: Wrecks & Reefs

In the afternoon, snorkel at the Skeleton Wreck. This sunken ship is covered in coral and teeming with colorful fish, easily visible even from the surface. We end the day at Two Peaks Coral Garden, one of the best-preserved reefs in the world. Expect a kaleidoscope of giant clams, sea turtles, and massive coral formations.

After a full day of adventure, we will escort you back to your hotel in Coron Town.

After breakfast, we’ll head out for a day dedicated to stunning coral gardens and historic World War II shipwrecks.

Pass Island: A Tropical Escape

We begin with a scenic boat ride to Pass Island. This is the definition of a tropical paradise: powdery white sand, swaying coconut trees, and quiet coves. It’s the perfect spot to soak up the sun, unwind on the beach, and enjoy the ultimate island vibe.

Lusong: Corals & Gunboats

Next, explore the Lusong Coral Garden, widely considered the best in the region. You’ll be amazed by the sheer scale and vibrant colors of the coral reefs here. Nearby, we’ll snorkel at the Lusong Gunboat. Resting in shallow water, this 25-meter wreck is easily visible and teeming with marine life—a must-see for both beginners and experienced snorkelers.

East Tangat: Diving into History

We continue our underwater journey at the East Tangat Wreck. Sunk during WWII in 1944, this impressive ship now rests along a sandy slope. Whether you are diving or snorkeling, the sight of this massive 40-meter vessel reclaimed by nature is truly unforgettable.

Malcapuya Island: The White Sand Paradise

Our first stop is Malcapuya Island. Famous for its fine, powdery white sand and vibrant turquoise waters, it is often called the most beautiful island in Palawan. It’s a perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing, and capturing stunning tropical photos.

Banana Island: Relaxation in Nature

Next, we visit Banana Island, named for its unique curved shape. Here, you’ll find a narrow beach tucked against a lush, hilly backdrop. It’s a peaceful place to take a gentle walk or simply relax and enjoy the coastal views.

Bulog Dos: The Scenic Sandbar

We finish the day at Bulog Dos Island. Though small, this island features a spectacular sandbar and crystal-clear shallows. It’s easy to explore the entire area on foot, offering a final, intimate look at Coron’s natural beauty.

Wow this tour was amazing X100..
Wow this tour was amazing X100... Vincent at Asia Odyssey Travel put together just a huge tour for me like a huge puzzle seeing the Islands in the Philippines. I did have to pay double because I was single but I thought "Oh this is going to be with a group so the base price was good, so double wasn't horrible" Then I went on the tour. Every place was like a separate tour where I joined daily some time two of three times daily different groups and saw tons of things I was going from dawn until dusk every day. I was alone many times too in like a private tour. OMGosh I mean I saw so much, I did everything. I was cared for and about every where I went like one of my family member had set me up for each day of the tour. I always had an inside contact, and a ride, and good place to stay. Some of my tour guides were the best I have ever had "Mrs. Eden in Puerta Princesa" I can say this as I have been to over 150 countries and on countless tours. I sometimes feel guiltily privileged on a tour by myself but not on this tour. On this tour I felt like I was getting the inside hook up most everywhere I went, not privileged treatment but rather insider treatment...Some times I had two tour guides the main one for example and local one both just for me...Amazing really, truly amazing...I would recommend Asia Odyssey tours to everyone!!! Special thanks to Vincent and Eden

Philippines Discovery Tour!

Asia Odyssey Travel has acquired Philippines Discovery Tours (which was the group that supported our trip)! The entire process was AMAZING!! We went on a 14 day (4 island) trip, so a lot of coordinating! Leo from Asia Odyssey helped me with the initial reservations. As the vacation approached, Leo created group chats on WhatsApp with each Island Tour Coordinator who was my point person for each island. They were AMAZING!!!!!! Communication was superb! Honestly, I can't wait to book another trip with this company! I was traveling with my young daughter so it was really important to have good coordination & communication so I could enjoy this trip! Truly an incredible experience!!!!
