Excellent trip beyond our expectations. The service was incredible. The food was unique, amazing and ample. Our villa was larger than we anticipated and gave us a private space to relax if we did not want to be by the ocean/pool or if it was raining to run in and out from our deck. Truly out door living. We are a female couple celebrating our honeymoon and we felt very welcomed and comfortable. The staff was amazing - Makif, our Mr Friday, was phenomenal always willing to check in or help us. Our daily waiter, Wabbe, for breakfast and dinner stayed the same which is an incredible concept for personalization and feeling like a friend. Wabbe was great! Monica the hostess was always a warm welcome to see. We would highly recommend Gili and hope to return in the future aiming for the December-February weather months next time. I would have packed less shoes other than travel pair as there is a fun “no shoe” policy which we loved. Can’t wait for our return.

This place surpassed expectations it was simply divine. I don't often write reviews or gush but I feel Gili Lankanfushi really does justify it! I've been lucky to stay and visit some wonderful places but I think this gem has topped them all. The journey from the airport was seamless and everyone we encountered on our short trip was so warm and welcoming. We didn't have the best weather (slight understatement) but genuinely this didn't detract from a lovely stay due to the staff being so accommodating and the island so beautiful. I think the reason I loved it so much was because the service was exemplary yet really understated so one could be totally relaxed yet feel you were being utterly spoilt. Everyone was delightful but our Ms Friday Naph and Mr Friday Tesla were both brilliant, Naph thank you for finding us a last minute earlier booking at The Japanese and Tesla for shifting cases in the pouring rain nothing was too much for either of you. Thank you Lolz for being the best waiter, full of fun and really interesting to chat too along with Gayon the sommelier who was so knowledgable and amenable and just generally lovely. Also would recommend the guided snorkelling trip the marine crew were brilliant. So don't delay just go if you're able. The manager Nicolas was also really visible and friendly and clearly very good with such a fabulous happy team. I want to come back!
