Here is a hidden gem for you: 5 star Noku Maldives. You might hear it called "Z Island" or "Rokushi Island" too. This place is seriously perfect for honeymooners and anyone looking for a super private, relaxing escape.
It's tucked away in the Noonu Atoll, and getting there is part of the adventure! You take 45-minute seaplane ride from Malé, which gives you incredible views from above.
Once you arrive, you'll see why it's so special. The beaches are absolutely pristine, the lagoon water is crystal-clear, and the snorkeling is amazing! This island is a good size – you could walk around it in about 1.5 kilometers. It originally opened in 2008, but it got a big facelift in 2017, so everything feels fresh and modern. They've also put a lot of effort into the food, so you'll have some delightful dining experiences.
Noku has 50 private villas - 20 on the beach and 30 over the water. The rooms are spacious, stylish, and have a wonderfully calm vibe. For safety, we highly recommend booking a Beach Villa if you have young children. The resort management cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injuries if children are staying in water villas. Also, while we welcome our younger guests, Noku Maldives does not have a kids' club, dedicated children's facilities, or nanny services.
