Nihao! Welcome to Xi'an - capital of 13 dynasties. Our team will meet you at the airport or train station. From there, you'll head straight to the Ancient City Wall.
The wall was built in 1370 during the Ming Dynasty. It stands 12 meters high and runs 14 kilometers around the old city. You can walk along the top and look out over Xi'an. On one side: traditional rooftops. On the other: modern high-rises. If you'd like to cover more ground, you can rent a bike (optional) and cycle the full circle.
Next, your guide will take you to the Muslim Quarter. This is where locals come to eat. Narrow lanes are lined with food stalls - skewers sizzling, bread baking, nuts and dates piled high. Let your nose guide you. Try a lamb skewer. Taste a persimmon cake. Watch wheat noodles being pulled by hand.
Tucked inside the quarter is the Great Mosque. It's one of the oldest and largest in China. The architecture blends Islamic function with Chinese form - minarets shaped like pagodas, courtyards with carved stone. It's quiet, peaceful, and easy to miss if you don't know it's there.
After the tour, you'll be transferred to your hotel in downtown Xi'an. The rest of the day is yours. Rest up, or walk the neighborhood and find your own corner of the city.
Optional Activities:
Arrival Ideas:
Xi’an is easily accessible by air and high-speed train. Xi'an Xianyang International Airport runs both domestic and international flights for all travelers. High-speed trains connect Xi’an to major Chinese cities, with travel times of 4-5.5 hours to Beijing, 6-7 hours to Shanghai, 3-4 hours to Chengdu and 3 hours to Pingyao.

After breakfast, we'll drive to the Terracotta Warriors Museum. This 2,000-year-old army consists of 8,000 soldiers, chariots, and horses guarding the First Emperor's tomb. You will explore Pits 1, 2, and 3 to see thousands of life-sized figures, each with unique facial expressions and armor.
Following the museum tour, join a local potter for a hands-on DIY workshop. You will learn ancient Qin techniques to craft your own miniature clay warrior. This interactive session provides a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship behind this archaeological marvel.
Giant Wild Goose Pagoda & Hanfu Experience
Drive back downtown to visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, a landmark of the Tang Dynasty. Built in AD 652 to house Buddhist sutras brought from India by the monk Xuanzang, its squarish architecture is a classic example of Tang style.
While at the pagoda, you can participate in a Hanfu experience. Dress in traditional silk robes and have your hair styled for a professional photo session. It's an immersive way to connect with the city's heritage against the backdrop of the ancient temple.
Evening: Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City
As night falls, explore the Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City. This vibrant pedestrian mall recreates the prosperity of the Tang era with traditional buildings and dazzling light shows. You can walk through the neon-lit streets to enjoy live street performances and festive energy.
Your guide will explain the history behind the statues and murals as you soak in the atmosphere. Afterward, your driver will escort you back to your hotel to conclude the day's journey.

Today is free for you until you are escorted to catch your flight or train to leave Xi'an.
