Our family of 5 comprising of 4 seniors above 70 and an adult went on a 11 days private tour from 5th to 15th November to the Yangtze region including to Shanghai, Chongqing, Wuhan... Our family of 5 comprising of 4 seniors above 70 and an adult went on a 11 days private tour from 5th to 15th November to the Yangtze region including to Shanghai, Chongqing, Wuhan, Nanjing and Suzhou. The highlight was the 4 days 3 nights Yangtze 3 gorges river cruise on the Sabrina Victoria from Chongqing to Yichang. All of us were very satisfied with the successful tour with the itinerary curated by Ms Catherine Wang, travel consultant of Asia Odyssey Travel based on our outlined requirements. Our trip included an internal flight from Shanghai to Chongqing and 2 high speed train rides from Wuhan to Nanjing and Nanjing to Shanghai on China's famed high speed trains. The tour went on smoothly without issues. The hotels in Shanghai, Wuhan and Nanjing were clean and good and the breakfasts good to excellent. The tour guides and drivers were great, responsible and knowledgeable and spoke good English. We are particularly impressed by Ms Ashley, our Chongqing guide who spoke excellent English and help us navigate the complexities of getting our luggage and checking in to the cruise ferry in addition to conducting the Chongqing tour. We nearly missed our train ride to Shanghai from Nanjing due to a massive traffic jam after visiting the Confucian Temple in Nanjing had it not for Mr George Jiaping, our helpful Nanjing guide who also spoke good English, who has the initiative to contact the driver to arrange alternative routes to the train station. I would like to extend my appreciation to Ms Catherine Wang and the tour guides and drivers for our successful tour and have no hesitation in engaging Asia Odyssey and Ms Catherine Wang again should we decide to travel again. read more
