The ideal time to visit Mount Huashan is from April to October when the weather is mild and pleasant. During spring, the average temperature ranges from 4-16℃, while in the summer months, it's around 9-21℃. In the autumn months, the temperature ranges from 7-18℃, offering comfortable weather for exploring the mountain.
Regardless of the season, Mount Huashan's scenery is nothing short of magical, with ever-changing landscapes that leave visitors in awe. From the misty, cloud-covered peaks to the breathtaking views from the summit, every moment spent on the mountain feels like a journey to a fairyland of beauty.
The time it takes to climb Mount Huashan depends on several factors, including the starting point, route, and physical fitness of the hiker. On average, completing the ascent and descent of the mountain takes around 6-8 hours. Generally, it takes a full day to finish the trip.
The Yunyou (Cloudy Valley) route is the most popular hiking trail and takes around 4-5 hours to climb to the North Peak, while climbing the other peaks can take an additional 3-4 hours. The Plank Road in the Sky, which is the most challenging and thrilling section of the hike, can take around 1 hour or more to complete. If you plan to hike up the mountain, it's advisable to allocate two days to complete the trip comfortably.

The Huashan plank walk, also known as the "Plank Road in the Sky", is approximately 130 meters long and is the most famous and thrilling section of the Huashan mountain hike. It is a narrow wooden path built onto the side of a steep cliff, with a sheer drop of over 1,000 meters (3,280 feet) on one side. Walking the plank road is an unforgettable experience for those who dare to brave it.

I will miss Xian. Miss Terracotta Warriors, Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, ancient wall...During my vacation in Xi'an, our guide Mary was amazing and cool.
