Packing Guide: What to Wear in Taiwan in March?
For Taiwan weather in March, my golden rule for dressing is "onion-style" or "layering." You'll need to adapt based on where you are:
- Mountains & Northern Cities: Think long sleeves, a windbreaker, long pants, and a light down jacket for chilly mornings (especially in the Taiwan mountains!).
- Southern Coasts (e.g. Kenting): Short-sleeved t-shirts, light long pants or skirts are usually fine, but bring a light jacket or cardigan for cooler mornings and evenings.
Essentials I always pack: A foldable umbrella (a lifesaver in the cities!), a light rain jacket (for mountain hikes), non-slip shoes (especially for wet trails), a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (crucial for the sunny south!).
