This was our first experience of a private (two couple tour). It was magnificent.
The only problem we had was getting hold of Asia Odyssey right at the beginning - it took numerous emails to get a reply!
However once we had been allocated our agent, Rita everything went smoothly.
Our tour was the Silk Road (mainly be fast train) from Xian to Urumqi and then on to Kashgar for two of us.
Every detail was attended to. Train tickets bought, a guide and driver meeting us at each stop. All guides were superb often with suggestions of additional things to see not our original list.
Rita kept in touch throughout the trip answering all our questions and immediately sending us a refund for a higher class train ticket that was not available for one train leg.
And all this for a very reasonable price.
I have no hesitation in recommending Asia Odyssey and Rita to anyone else looking for a private tour in China.
