To the left of the palace, you will discover The Mieu Temple. This temple honors the past emperors of the dynasty. In its courtyard stand the famous Nine Dynastic Urns, which are huge bronze urns considered a national treasure of Vietnam.
Just north of the temple is the Dien Tho Residence, the well-preserved former home of the Queen Mother.
To the right of the palace is the Royal Theater (Duyệt Thị Đường). This is the oldest theater in Vietnam, and it still hosts traditional performances today.
