Although there are only 5 daily high-speed trains from Beijing to Guiyang, they follow two different routes, each offering a variety of landscapes along the way.

Route 1: Common Route via Wuhan and Changsha (Most Trains)

Beijing – Shijiazhuang – Zhengzhou – Wuhan – Changsha – Tongren – Guiyang

  • Beijing to Zhengzhou: You’ll pass through the flat northern plains, filled with farmlands and small towns. Just before arriving in Zhengzhou, enjoy views of the mighty Yellow River, one of China’s most iconic rivers.
  • Zhengzhou to Changsha: The scenery becomes a mix of plains and gentle hills, with tunnels now and then. In Wuhan, the train crosses the wide Yangtze River.
  • Changsha to Guiyang: This is the most scenic part—mountains, valleys, rice terraces, and traditional ethnic villages fill the landscape. It's a beautiful ride into the heart of Guizhou.

Route 2: G371 via Chongqing (Longest Route)

Beijing – Shijiazhuang – Zhengzhou – Xiangyang – Wanzhou – Chongqing – Guiyang

  • Beijing to Zhengzhou: Similar to Route 1, it’s mostly flat terrain with farmlands. The Yellow River crossing is still a highlight.
  • Zhengzhou to Chongqing: This section runs alongside the Yangtze River for a long stretch. Expect lots of mountains, tunnels, and dramatic views of the river valleys.

Guiyang North Railway Station (贵阳北站)

All high-speed trains from Beijing arrive at Guiyang North, one of the city’s largest and busiest stations. It’s well-connected by public transportation and conveniently located for onward travel in Guiyang or transfers to other destinations in Guizhou.

Qingyan Ancient Town (青岩古镇)

Qianling Mountain Park (黔灵山公园)
