Feeling overwhelmed by all those "things to do"? Let's get specific. These are the icons—the 30 absolute must-sees that define Asia. The Great Wall. Taj Mahal. Angkor Wat. Mount Fuji. If you see nothing else, see these.
But here's the bonus: We mapped them all out for you. Check the map below to see exactly where they sit.
First time in Asia? Keep it simple. Stick to one country-Thailand, Japan or China are perfect starters. We'll show you exactly how to plan that below.
Or, are you feeling brave? Why not string them together? We show you exactly how to connect the dots across Southeast Asia and chase the Silk Road through Central Asia's 5 Stans. Grab a plan and go!
Now, how long? Here's the breakdown: Got 5-7 days? Focus on one or two cities—Tokyo and Kyoto, or just Bali. Have 2 weeks? You can cover an entire country, like Thailand or Japan, without rushing.
A month or more? Now we're talking. That's enough time to work your way through Southeast Asia or follow the ancient Silk Road across Central Asia. Don't guess. Grab a ready-made Asia itinerary that actually works.
Time to see how to get to Asia. Make your trip simple with this section. Singapore is the super-hub, connecting even to remote Bhutan. Planning a multi-country trip? We show you the best transport links for Southeast Asia and the Central Asian Stans below.
Sticking to one country? China's high-speed rail and Japan's Shinkansen are covered too-so you can zip across entire regions faster than flying.
Stop reading and start seeing. Why wade through paragraphs when a map shows you everything in seconds? Distances. Connections. Major hubs. Top sights. All at a glance.
Our Asia map collection covers everything—big regions like Southeast and East Asia, individual countries like Thailand and Japan, even specific cities like Bali and Kyoto. If you're a visual person, this section is your new best friend.
There's one thing maps can't show you: flavor. And half the reason you're going to Asia is the food. Thai street food tastes like heaven. Japanese kaiseki that's basically edible art. Chinese regional cuisine so diverse you could eat a different dish every day for a year.
Taste it! Find out what absolutely needs to be on your food bucket list.
Still haven't found exactly what you're looking for? We've got more. This is the catch-all section-the extra tips, niche topics, and deep dives we didn't fit above. Everything's organized by region (East, Southeast, South, and Central Asia), so you can jump straight to what matters for your trip.
Consider this your bonus material. Dig in.

I’m so glad we chose to do this tour! We were looking for a way to escape the summer heat, and Hokkaido was a dream come true. The air was so fresh and the scenery was just incredible—I swear my photos don’t even do it justice.
The highlight for me was definitely the lavender fields in Furano. They were even more beautiful in person than in all the pictures you see online. Our private guide knew the best spots to get a great view without fighting the crowds. Plus, we got to see all the other rainbow flower fields in Biei which were just as amazing.
The trip was super relaxing because we didn't have to worry about a thing. Our driver was so professional, and it was a huge relief to have a private car just for our family. It made getting between all the different towns so easy. We loved exploring the charming canal in Otaru and getting to eat all the fresh seafood in Sapporo. The food in Hokkaido is seriously on another level!
